Abstract: Rubber compound containing at least one nanoscale, magnetic filler and at least one non-magnetic filler. Vulcanizable mixture containing the rubber compound and at least one crosslinking agent and/or vulcanization accelerator. Molding obtainable from the vulcanizable mixture by heat treatment or action of an electrical, magnetic or electromagnetic alternating field.

Abstract: Disclosed are a deproteinizing agent comprising a proteolytic enzyme and one or more cationic surfactants selected from the group consisting of an alkylamine salt, an alkylamine derivative and quaternized compounds thereof; and a method of preparing a cationic deproteinized natural rubber latex, which comprises adding said deproteinizing agent to a field latex or an ammonia-treated latex thereby subjecting the latex to a deproteinization treatment and purifying the rubber particles in the latex.

Abstract: This invention relates to moulded, non-dusting, non-caking, free-flowing masticating agents based on 2,2'-dibenzamidodiphenyl disulphide and mixtures of saturated fatty acids having an iodine number <25, a solidification point in the range from 50.degree. to 68.degree. C. and an acid number of 179 to 215. The masticating agents according to the invention are employed for reducing the viscosity of rubbers containing double bonds, and are normally used in amounts of 0.01 to 3 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of rubber.
Abstract: An alumina-silica-sulfate of the formulaxR:Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 :ySiO.sub.2 :zSO.sub.4.pH.sub.2 Owherein R is an alkali or alkaline earth metal oxide, a transition metal capable of forming a sulfate salt or mixtures thereof, x is about 0.001 to 0.5, y is about 0.01 to 3.00, z is about 0.00 to 3.00, and p is about 0 to 100.00, and wherein the sulfate is present as a bound network. Compositions comprising the alumina-silica-sulfate of the invention and a carrier, articles of manufacture comprising the alumina-silica-sulfates of the invention in the form of a catalyst, rubber, plastics, paint and paper, among others. Hollow microspheres are formed by spray drying a gelled composition. Hollow microspheres containing a porous network are formed by calcining the spray-dried hollow microspheres to eliminate the sulfate network.
Abstract: There is disclosed the use of matrix-antidegradants in rubber and a process for the production of matrix-antidegradants. More specifically, this invention is directed to microparticles of vulcanized rubber containing high levels of para-phenylenediamine type antiozonants which have a particle diameter of 100 microns or less. The matrix-antidegradant or microparticles prepared according to this invention provide long term protection to rubber articles that are subject to ozone and oxygen attack.

Abstract: A sealer for filling a dental root canal which can seal the apex of the root and the root canal perfectly and can be removed with the gutta percha points when refilling is necessary. The sealer of the invention consists of the same basic material as the gutta percha point, so it adheres to the point initimately and firmly and can seal the apex of the root perfectly. The softening temperature of the sealer is about 40.degree.-45.degree. C., so the points and the sealer can be removed same time by heating at low temperature with a heat carrier when refilling is necessary.
