In the ethylenic high acid copolymer ionomer, Y is present from 16.5 wt. % to about 35 wt.

The cover has a hardness of 60 to 80 on JIS C hardness scale. The golf ball has many advantages including a pleasant feel, ease of spin, ease of control, high repulsion and resistance to peeling.

C. with a tin compound of the formula SnR.sub.3 X, wherein R represents an alkyl group and wherein X represents a halogen. This invention more specifically discloses a tire tread rubber composition which is comprised of (1) about 60 phr to about 95 phr of an isoprene-butadiene rubber having a glass transition temperature which is within the range of about -50.degree. C. to about 0.degree. C.
