Abstract: Disclosed are polymer blends of bis(allyl carbonate) polymers with polymers of olefinically unsaturated monomers, and the precursor blends of bis(allyl carbonate) monomers with polymers of olefinically unsaturated monomers, and fabricable resins prepared therefrom. Also disclosed is a method of fabricating, e.g., molding, injection molding, extruding, and the like, the fabricable resins. The bis(allyl carbonate) polymer blend is taken to a fabricable state, i.e., a fusible pseudoplastic that does not lose liquid on fabrication, either by admixture or admixture and reaction. The fabricable resin is then fabricated, e.g., extruded, molded, or the like, and then polymerized to a hard polymer. Also disclosed are blends of bis(allyl carbonates), monomeric and polymeric, with polymers having olefinic unsaturation.
Abstract: A transparent resin composition comprising (1) 6 to 100% by weight of a nitrile graft copolymer comprising a rubber trunk polymer and a branch polymer grafted thereon, which has been obtained by graft-polymerizing onto the rubber trunk polymer a monomer mixture containing an unsaturated nitrile and a monomer copolymerizable therewith, and (2) 0 to 94% by weight of a random copolymer of an unsaturated nitrile and a monomer copolymerizable therewith, the resin components of the resin composition other than the rubber trunk polymer constituting a matrix resin, wherein(a) said rubber trunk polymer has a glass transition temperature of not higher than 0.degree. C. and constitutes 4 to 25% by weight of the resin composition,(b) the unsaturated nitrile constitutes 25 to 90% by weight of the matrix resin in the resin composition,(c) the difference in the refractive indexes between the rubber trunk polymer and the matrix resin is not more than 0.
Abstract: A freeflowing rubber mixture which is stable against coalescence and cohesion comprising a vulcanizable rubber in powder form and a minor amount of an acrylonitrile polymer as a separating agent.

Abstract: Polymer blends having improved hydrolytic stability comprise, in admixture, (1) a linear aromatic polyester prepared from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and a bisphenol, and (2) a cross-linked acrylate-methacrylate copolymer. The blends are useful in preparation of films and molded articles.
