Receptacle Reversing Patents (Class 53/144)
  • Patent number: 8479480
Abstract: A packaging assembly for lightweight containers that includes a secondary packaging for gathering and holding a plurality of individual primary lightweight containers. The secondary packaging includes two layers of thermoplastic shrinkable film enclosing the lightweight containers, with the layers being connected to one another at least partially in the circumference of the secondary packaging. Each of the primary lightweight containers has a container body and a container neck with a neck opening. The lightweight containers are disposed in the secondary packaging in rows forming one single, substantially plane layer, with all containers being oriented with their longitudinal axis (L) forming an angle (?) with the plane of the packaging assembly that is between 0 and 45°.

  • Patent number: 5263302
Abstract: A device for the packing of rigid or flexible receptacles, especially filled plastic bags, which are triangularly or teardrop-shaped in section, comprises a conveying belt for conveying the receptacles one behind the other, a discharge unit for discharging the receptacles one behind the other into a reception case located thereunder, the reception case being rotatable about 180.degree. and being located below the discharge unit. After a first receptacle is discharged into the reception case, it is rotated by 180.degree. and a layer consisting of oppositely directed receptacles in which the pointed end portions overlap is formed. Thereafter, the so-formed layers are deposited in a final packing case located below the reception case. An optimum utilization of space in the final packing case is attained by the receptacles due to the overlapping of their pointed end portions.

  • Patent number: 5155967
Abstract: An apparatus for the continuous packaging of flexible bags is adapted for use with a continuous bag manufacturing machine. Separate bags are received on a conveyor which conveys the bags to a stacking station at the end of the conveyor. At the stacking station, the bags are stacked in a catch tray until a predetermined number of bags have been collected, at which point the tray is opened to drop the bags into an open container supported on a turntable beneath the catch tray. The turntable is rotatable to convey the open container away from the stacking station to an unloading station when the container has been filled with bags. The turntable rotatably supports a number of support plates evenly distributed around the perimeter of the turntable, upon which an open container sits. A multi-motion actuator situated at the stacking station underneath the turntable is operable to rotate the support plate at the stacking station relative to the turntable.
