Plural Axes Patents (Class 53/279)
  • Patent number: 10519018
Abstract: The present disclose relates to a receptacle handling apparatus. In one implementation, the apparatus includes a filling carousel with filling units adapted for filling respective receptacles during advancement of the receptacles from a receiving station to a transfer station and a capping carousel with capping units adapted for receiving respective filled receptacles at an insertion station and adapted to cap said receptacles during advancement from the insertion station to a release station. The transfer station and the insertion station are spaced apart, and the capping carousel includes gripping units, each having at least one outwardly extensible gripping arm assembly moveable between a retracted and an extracted configuration, such that the gripping arm assembly cooperates with the filling carousel to transfer a relative filled receptacle from the transfer station to the insertion station.

  • Patent number: 10065756
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for gas replacement capable of reducing the amount of replacement gas, improving a gas replacement rate, and reducing the amount of split liquid. In a replacement nozzle (11) which blows the replacement gas toward a container opening portion symmetrically about a center line in the container radial direction, the space between nozzle port outermost walls is divided with a plurality of wind direction adjustment plates (16a, 16b) to generate a plurality of blowout ports. The replacement gas flow blowing along the outermost walls of the nozzle opening are so blown inward as to form an angle of 100° to 130°. Moreover, the replacement gas is blown from the replacement nozzle to the range between the level lower than the end of the can opening by one third or more the height of the can neck portion and the level equal to or higher than the height of the can cover.

  • Patent number: 7866123
Abstract: A filling machine for containers such as bottles, cans, or similar containers. The filling machine comprises at least one rotor, which is driven in rotation around a vertical machine axis, and filling stations on the rotor. Each filling station is designed to receive a container and for the filling of this container during the rotational movement of the rotor between a container inlet point and a container outlet point. The filling stations are provided in at least two filling planes, which are offset from one another in the direction of the machine axis.

  • Patent number: 5727369
Abstract: Objects such as cartons (16) supported in transport holders (110), are carried on a first conveyor wheel (140) and transferred to a second conveyor wheel in respective transfer operation. Each conveyor wheel has circumferential spaced recesses for carrying such objects, each recess containing a moveable magnet (156) for holding a said object. The wheels run tangentially to one another so that each object on the first conveyor wheel during each transfer operation is momentarily simultaneously in recesses of the first conveyor wheel and of the second conveyor wheel. Transfer is triggered by the timed withdrawal of the magnet holding the object in the recess of the first conveyor wheel by a cam (170) leaving the object held by the magnet of the second conveyor wheel. Cartons may be bottom sealed, filed and top sealed on respective conveyor wheels.

  • Patent number: 4566251
Abstract: The disclosure illustrates and describes a modular forming, sterilizing, filling and sealing machine for containers, including a front bottom forming and sealing section; an intermediate sterilizing section; and a rear filling, top forming and sealing section; and separate conveyor means in each section. The conveyor means in the sterilizing section is adapted to receive the containers from the conveyor means in the bottom forming and sealing section in an upright, open-topped condition and convey same transverse to the line of travel in the forming and sealing sections through a sterilant vapor atmosphere wherein the sterilant vapor condenses on all surfaces of each upright, open-topped container, and then rotates the containers from the upright position to an upside-down condition through a heated and air blown atmosphere, and back to an upright condition onto the conveyor means in the filling, top forming and sealing section.

  • Patent number: 4484431
Abstract: For the fabrication of a bag-in-box (BIB) package, there is first provided a semifinished, collapsed BIB package wherein a flattened bag is placed within a collapsed box and secured to at least one of its inside surfaces by means of an adhesive. After erecting the package, the bag is inflated into close internal contact with the box by introducing a gas under pressure through a fitment attached to the bag and projecting outwardly of the box. The opposite ends of the box are closed with sets of foldable end flaps, with the aid of an adhesive. Preferably, the bag is further secured to the inside surfaces of a pair of opposed ones of the four bottom end flaps of the box. The opposed pair of bottom flaps are held folded out during the introduction of the pressurized gas into the bag, in order that the bottom end portion of the inflated bag may make neat contact with the inside surfaces of the box. There is also disclosed herein an apparatus for erecting, filling, and sealing thus fabricating the BIB package.
