Plural Independently Closed Covers Patents (Class 53/286)
  • Patent number: 8648719
Abstract: A container unit for the storage and protection of laboratory substances includes a protective housing and at least one dosage-dispensing unit. The at least one dosage-dispensing unit includes a reservoir container and a dispensing head. To prepare the at least one dosage-dispensing unit for operation, the protective housing can be removed from the dosage-dispensing unit. The protective housing has a bottom part with at least one suitably shaped recess to provide a stable seat for the at least one dosage-dispensing unit, as well as a bell-shaped top. The top can be connected to the bottom part, so as to form a tightly sealed interior space. For transportation and storage purposes, the at least one dosage-dispensing unit is arranged in the interior space of the closed protective housing.

  • Patent number: 8256188
Abstract: The invention relates to a packaging machine for closing a container having a lid, which includes a supply unit for delivering the container along with a loosely seated lid. A rotating crimping head is provided with a plurality of recesses for one container each, a plurality of tensioning units each hold a container into a recess, and a crimping unit crimps the lids onto the container in order to close the container. A plurality of sensor units are provided such that one sensor unit is arranged on each tensioning unit. Each sensor unit records a container rotation and/or a container tensioning force in the crimping head. Each sensor unit has a transmitter to send signals and a control unit which has a receiver to receive signals sent from the transmitter.

  • Patent number: 7735297
Abstract: An apparatus for capping bottles, comprising: gripping devices for bottles containing products, constrained to a transporter, each of which gripping devices exhibits on a side thereof a gripping means of a corresponding bottle, and on an opposite side thereof hooking-receiving-stabilizing organ of a cap; at least a channel for supplying caps, arranged superiorly of the transporter upstream of a capping zone overlying the hooking-receiving-stabilizing organs transiting below the channel, into which a row of caps is conveyed, a head cap of the row of caps being held elastically by a lower end of the supply channel in order to position an internal surface of a relative head such as to intercept a front head (96a) of an underlying hooking-receiving-stabilizing organ in order to enable the head cap, in combination with the advancing of the transporter and with the striking and guiding action exerted by the supply channel, to disengage from the supply channel in order to locate in the corresponding hooking-receivin

  • Patent number: 7458196
Abstract: A method and machine for packing packets, whereby, as two packets are fed singly and successively along a path from an input station to an output station, respective sheets of packing material are folded about the two packets to form respective wrappings; the two packets, enclosed in the respective wrappings, are brought into contact with each other to form a group of packets, and are again fed from the input station to the output station, while a further sheet of packing material is folded about the group of packets.

  • Patent number: 7430842
Abstract: For the prevention of contamination of a vial with traces of medicinal fluids, for example cytostatics and antibiotics, which may be spilt on the outside of the vial while filling, the vial is provided with a tight-fitting protective envelope, preferably made of a transparent synthetic material, as a last step in the production process. Because of this, a possible contamination which remains on the outside of the vial is encapsulated between the vial and the envelope. Hereby, a user is no longer exposed to toxic substances, because the user will not touch the vial itself, but will touch the envelope. An additional advantage of the provision of the envelope is that if breaking of the vial occurs, the envelope will keep the pieces of broken glass together and will possibly prevent the medicinal fluid from leaking away.

  • Patent number: 6546702
Abstract: The present invention is directed to devices for encapsulating medicinal products and methods of using these devices to form the encapsulated product. More specifically, the present invention includes improved closing and/or ejection pins for use with a conventional capsule closing device. The closing pins may be hollow down a longitudinal interior diameter and may include a chamfered capsule contacting surface. The closing and/or ejection pins may be removably mounted to a pin plate and may be manufactured from a polymer. The pin plate may be attached to an actuation shaft in a non-rotational fashion, such as with a non-circular shaft profile and set screw.
