With Package Stationary During Closing Patents (Class 53/374.8)
  • Publication number: 20010015056
Abstract: A method of sealing an opening portion of a packaging container by utilizing fusion bonding of the base material, together with an apparatus and method for inspecting the sealed portion. The container material has a welding layer as the innermost layer. The welding layer is melted at a seal portion defined along the edge of the opening portion of the container. A part of the melt from the welding layer is allowed to flow out from the edge of the opening portion, thereby sealing the seal portion and also forming an efflux layer outside the opening portion by the melt flowing out and solidified. An image of at least a part of the sealed portion and its vicinities is taken. At least a part of the image is defined as an inspection region. The image of the inspection region is subjected to predetermined image processing to calculate data concerning the efflux layer formed outside the sealed portion.

  • Patent number: 6256969
Abstract: A machine wraps packages such as bales of crumb rubber, or other containers of goods, into a protective synthetic resin film bag or cover. The machine is provided with a set of movable jaws each having a heat-sealing frame assembly having improved heat transfer characteristics. The heat-sealing frame assembly is composed of heat sealing units which have enhanced heat distribution and reduced cold spot or no-seal areas, and also reduced hot spot burn-through. Heat transfer from the heat sealing elements to the remaining portions of the baling assembly is also reduced.

  • Patent number: 6185915
Abstract: A fruit-packaging machine includes a plastic bag web outputting device mounted to a frame for supplying a plastic bag web that is enclosed at two lateral sides thereof when it passes through a side-enclosing device. A fruit-conveying device conveys fruit to be packaged into a plastic tube that is then enclosed by a final enclosing device. An operative plate is secured to an enclosing seat of the final enclosing device. The operative plate is operably connected to an actuating plate that pivots a shaft extension of a pivotal shaft by a follower rod. A receiving plate is connected to the pivotal shaft to pivot therewith, thereby receiving the packaged fruit and conveying the packaged fruit to a conveyor.

  • Patent number: 6167677
Abstract: In a tubular bagging machine with two cross-sealing jaws 1, 2, which are movable toward one another and thereby cross-weld a foil tube, product that moves between the cross-sealing jaws 1, 2, interferes with the cross seam, and results in a leaky cross-seam of a tubular bag. In order to reliably recognize entrapped product 10, it is suggested to measure the performance resistance of the servomotor on the cross-sealing jaws 1, 2, which are moved by a servomotor drive 4, in order to determine product entrapment. The machine controller 8 can additionally receive from the drive 4 a value for the jaw position, which position value corresponds to a desired momentary jaw pressure. A product entrapment is determined from a high or measured performance resistance value from the desired value. A reliable product entrapment recognition is achieved through the use of the light-metal cross-sealing jaw.
