  • Patent number: 11800833
Abstract: Crop conveyor systems having an enhanced resistance to crop material build-up and suitable for usage in agricultural machines, such as round balers, include a conveyor belt run extending along a primary direction of belt travel, as well as a runner assembly adjacent the conveyor belt run. The runner assembly includes, in turn, elongated runners extending substantially parallel to the primary direction of belt travel and spaced along a lateral axis perpendicular to the primary direction of belt travel. Belt guide surfaces are provided on the elongated runners and face the conveyor belt run. The belt guide surfaces have convex surface regions in a first section plane parallel to the lateral axis and perpendicular to the primary direction of belt travel. The convex surface regions increase conformity between the belt guide surfaces and the conveyor belt run to reduce crop build-up on the elongated runners during usage of the build-up resistant crop conveyor system.

  • Patent number: 11691771
Abstract: Disclosed is a hygienic clamp attachable to conveying chains used in horizontal, form, fill, and seal, packaging machines. The clamp is used for holding the packing film, which is conveyed between various work stations of the machine. The clamp assembly comprises of three components: stanchion, gripper, spring. The clamp eliminates the use of a rivet, previously used for holding the spring, and guiding vertical moment of the gripper during the clamping process. The hygienic clamp replaces the rivet with a mortise and tenon connection. The mortise is located inside the stanchion and the tenent is located inside the gripper. The hygienic clamp also incorporates a ridge (attached to the stanchion) which interacts with the tenon (protruding from the gripper). The interaction between these two parts enables delayed closure of the clamp, independent of the cam's actions, which functions as the primary opening and closing mechanism for the hygienic clamp.

  • Patent number: 8402726
Abstract: A suction control apparatus is adapted to be used in a packaging machine for conveying and packaging a belt-shaped film while the film is being suctioned by a suction-type film conveyor. The suction control apparatus includes a proper vacuum-degree determination section and a vacuum-degree control unit. The proper vacuum-degree determination section is configured and arranged to determine a proper degree of vacuum of the suction-type film conveyor, which is less than a reference value set in advance. The vacuum-degree control unit is configured to set the degree of vacuum to a first value corresponding to the proper degree of vacuum determined by the proper vacuum-degree determination section.

  • Publication number: 20100192516
Abstract: A wrapper dispensing mechanism for round balers includes a feed roller shiftable generally toward and away from a baling element of a bale forming mechanism so as to be selectively brought into and out of engagement with the baling element. The feed roller is driven by the baling element when the feed roller is in engagement with the baling element, with the feed roller and the baling element cooperatively defining a temporary nip therebetween during engagement. The feed roller is disposed to at least partially vertically support the roll of supply material thereon. A method of dispensing wrapping material from a supply roll includes supporting the supply roll at least partially on a feed roller, shifting the feed roller into engagement with the baling element to create a temporary nip therebetween and drive the feed roller, and driving the baling element while the feed roller is in engagement therewith.

  • Patent number: 7722730
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for heat-sealing windows into folding carton blanks for producing liquid-proof folding cartons having film windows. Pieces of film that are cut to measure are placed on the window openings of the folding carton blanks and the edges of the pieces of film are heat-sealed with the folding carton blanks so as to be liquid-proof using heated pressure segments or heat-sealing dies. The folding carton blanks, together with the pieces of film, are fed to a tail pulley for a transport belt by means of the transport belt and are inserted in the gap between the tail pulley and the transport belt resting thereon. In this gap, the blanks and pieces of film are continuously heat-sealed together by means of at least two heated pressure segments that are disposed on the outer periphery of the tail pulley and push radially from inwards against the transport belt in the area of deflection of the transport belt and thus onto the edges of the pieces of film.

  • Publication number: 20090013651
Abstract: A bag-making and packaging machine, in which a horizontal bag-making machine and a packaging machine are provided, including a positioning conveyor for positioning bags fed out from the horizontal bag-making machine, a feed conveyor for feeding the bags to the packaging machine, and first, second, and third transport mechanisms provided between the positioning conveyor and the feed conveyor. The first transport mechanism lifts up the bags up and change their attitude to a vertical attitude with the bag mouths oriented upward. The second transport mechanism receives the bags from the first transport mechanisms, transports them, and rotates the bags to orient bag surfaces in the feed direction of the feed conveyor. The third transport mechanisms receives the bags from the second transport mechanisms, changes their attitude to a horizontal attitude, and places them on the feed conveyor with the bag mouths oriented in the feed direction.

  • Patent number: 7318305
Abstract: A packaging machine for wrapping packing pieces with packing film. The packing machine includes a transport device for the packing pieces, at least one unspooling device for unspooling the packing film wound on a roller, a film welding and cutting unit, and a film buffer arranged between the film welding and cutting unit and the unspooling device. The film support is formed of a flexible, anti-static material which ensures particularly easy pulling off of the packing film from the film buffer. The film support inhibits or prevents the plastic film from incurring a static charge, thereby reducing or eliminating adhesion forces would have to be overcome as a result of electrostatic charges when pulling the plastic film off of the film buffer.

  • Patent number: 6796103
Abstract: In a machine for packaging stacks of multiply articles of paper into wrapping sheets, a first line conveys stacks of multiply articles of paper to a a wrapping station while a second feeds wrapping sheets to the wrapping station. Each sheet is kept vertically in a waiting position in the wrapping station until one stack is moved towards the sheet, so that the sheet gradually folds around the stack with overlapping parallel edges to be heat-welded. In the said second line there are first endless belts and second endless belts for a wrapping sheet received from conveying means situated upstream. The sheet is pulled up to the wrapping station and is clamped in the wait position by suction.

  • Patent number: 6497084
Abstract: There is provided transport apparatus for carton blanks 11. The blanks are delivered to a pair of rotating nip rollers 17 by using a segment wheel 15 and a swinging suction arm 16. The nip rollers 17 are drive at a predetermined speed so as to deliver the blanks 11 between two pairs of endless belts 18, 19 which are driven at the same speed as each other, the speed of the belts being slower than that of the nip rollers 17. The blanks 11 are, therefore, received by the nip rollers 17 in a pitched manner but the relative speeds ensures that the blanks are transported by the endless belts 18, 19 in an unpitched, end to end relationship.
