Abstract: Method and systems for capping are described. In one embodiment, an order processing device, a cap device, a plurality of feeders and a capping implement are provided. The order processing device processes orders with containers. The cap device is adapted to cap the container and is communicatively connected to the order processing device. The cap device is adapted to receive dispensation preferences from the order processing device. The cap device includes a plurality of feeders and a capping implement. Each feeder has a unique type of crown portion of a cap for capping. The capping implement is adapted to grasp the crown portion from the feeder. The cap device is adapted to select a feeder from which to grasp the crown portion based on the dispensation preferences. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to apparatus for placing sleeves on conveyed articles, said sleeves being cut-off from a continuous sheath (13) passing over a floating type sheath-opening shaper (20). According to the invention, the wheels (30, 31) for lowering the sheath and the wheels (32, 33) for ejecting the cut-off sheath segment (15) are rotated by associated electric motors (41; 42, 43) controlled synchronously by a common electronic programmer (50) arranged to determine a continuous profile of speed variation so as to control the lowering of each sheath segment, said programmer including at least one control card (55) which co-operates with an adjacent encoder (47) mounted at the end of a shaft (46) rotated by a central motor and gearbox unit (40, 45). The synchronization obtained makes it possible to envisage very high rates of throughput while using sleeves of a diameter that is hardly greater than the maximum diameter of the articles.
Abstract: A ball placer device is provided for containers in a capping machine, which consists of a vertical tube assembly mounted to the capping machine to receive a series of balls therein. A feed assembly for the balls is retained above the vertical tube assembly on the capping machine, so that the balls can enter into the vertical tube assembly in a stacked relationship. A conveyor is to carry a series of the containers in upstanding positions under the vertical tube assembly. Each container is of the type having a neck with a collar thereon. A mechanism is for placing each ball from the vertical tube assembly upon each collar on the neck of each container, one at a time, as the containers are carried under the vertical tube assembly by the conveyor.
Abstract: A cap alternator feed device is provided for a capper machine and consists of a mechanism that will prevent deposition of a cap on a raised portion of a container that is at an elevation not lower than the container neck but will allow a cap to be placed onto the neck.
