Abstract: The present invention relates to reactive azo dyes of the formula (I) or an alkali metal salt thereof, wherein A is formula (i) or (ii) C is an optionally substituted aromatic or heteroaromatic residue; and R1, R2, B, D, Y, a, b, c, d and n are defined as given in claim 1, a process for preparing said dyes and a process for colouring fibre material, which comprises applying thereto said dyes.

Abstract: A process for defining a substrate is provided. The process comprises applying to the substrate a water soluble dye having at least two electrophilic groups and a nucleophilic agent having a molecular weight below 600 and at least one group selected from aliphatic primary amino groups and secondary amino groups.

Abstract: Dyestuffs corresponding to the general formula ##STR1## are described in which the variables have the meaning given in the specification. These dyestuffs have fiber-reactive properties and dye materials containing hydroxy and/or carboxamide groups, in particular fiber materials, such as wool, synthetic polyamide fibers and, in particular, cellulose fibers, such as cotton, in deep shades with good fastness properties.

Abstract: The compounds of the formula ##STR1## where the substituents are as defined in claim 1, are direct dyes for various substrates, in particular cellulosic fibre materials. They are high temperature resistant and therefore are particularly highly suitable for the one-bath, single-stage dyeing of polyester/cotton blend fabrics with a disperse dye for the polyester fibres under the dyeing conditions for polyester fibres.

Abstract: Monoazo dyes of the formula ##STR1## in which K is the radical of a coupling component of the benzene or naphthalene series or of the heterocyclic series, and R is a ##STR2## --CO--R.sub.2 or --SO.sub.2 --O--R.sub.2 group in which R.sub.1 is hydrogen or C.sub.1-4 -alkyl and R.sub.2 is a substituted or unsubstituted monosulfo-C.sub.1-12 -alkyl radical, a substituted or unsubstituted monosulfophenyl, disulfophenyl, monosulfonaphthyl or disulfonaphthyl radical, and X and Y, independently of each other, are hydrogen, C.sub.1-4 -alkyl, C.sub.1-4 -alkoxy, halogen, C.sub.2-6 -alkanoylamino, C.sub.1-5 -alkylsulfonylamino or a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or phenoxy radical, produce dyeings on polyamide material which have good light and wet fastness properties.

Abstract: Reactive dyes which in the form of the free acids correspond to the general formula ##STR1## where A is fluorine, chlorine or bromine,B is hydrogen, chlorine, methyl, methoxy, ethoxy, hydroxysulfonyl or carboxyl,R is carboxyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl, carbamyl, N-mono- or N,N-di-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl- or -hydroxyalkyl-substituted carbamyl, carbopiperidide, carbopyrrolidide or carbomorpholide andR.sup.1 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by cyano, hydroxyl or carboxyl, phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by methyl, ethyl, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, amino, trifluoromethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, cyano, phenoxy, acetyl, methylsulfonyl, benzoyl, phenylsulfonyl, acetylamino, nitro, hydroxyl, carboxyl, carbamyl, 2-benzthiazolyl or sulfamyl, or naphthyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by hydroxysulfonyl. The novel compounds are particularly suitable for dyeing cellulose-containing textile materials, polyamides and leather.

Abstract: Fibre-reactive dyes of the formula ##STR1## wherein D is the radical of a benzene or naphthalene azo dye which contains sulpho groups, each of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, B is an arylene group and A is an amino group.
