    Abstract: Chromium complex dyes which, in the form of the free acid, have the formula ##STR1## wherein Z is hydrogen, nitro, chlorine or naphthylazo or phenylazo, wherein naphthyl or phenyl is unsubstituted or substituted by nitro, chlorine, bromine, C.sub.1-5 -alkyl or C.sub.1-5 -alkoxy, A is naphthyl or phenyl containing the oxygen atom in o-position to the azomethine and wherein naphthyl or phenyl is unsubstituted or substituted by C.sub.1-5 -alkyl, halogen or naphthylazo or phenylazo wherein naphthyl or phenyl is unsubstituted or substituted by nitro, chlorine, bromine, C.sub.1-5 -alkyl or C.sub.1-5 -alkoxy, D is sulfophenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by nitro or chlorine, or sulfonaphthyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by nitro, and is bonded to the azo group in the ortho-position to the oxygen atom and R is chloroacetyl, bromoacetyl, .alpha.-chloroacryloyl, .alpha.-bromoacryloyl, .alpha.,.beta.-dichloropropionyl, .alpha.,.beta.

    Abstract: A dye of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is is fluorine, chlorine, bromine, methyl, ethyl, cyano, carboxyl, nitro, tribfluoromethyl, methylsulfonyl, phenylsulfonyl, acetyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, phenoxy, chlorophenoxy or benzoyl; R.sup.2 is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, methyl, ethyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, benzthiazol-2-yl, 6-methylbenzthiazol-2-yl, acetylamino, carboxyl aminosulfonyl, or aminocarbonyl; R.sup.3 is hydrogen chlorine, bromine or methyl; R.sup.5 is hydrogen, methyl, methoxy or ethoxy; and X is fluorohydroxyphosphonyl or dihydroxyphosphonyl. The dye of the present invention is useful in the dyeing of cellulose-containing material, polyamides and leather. The high tinctorial strength of the dyes and the very good lightfastness and wetfastness properties of the dyeings are particularly noteworthy.

    Abstract: There are described new azo dyes of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an optionally substituted alkyl group, R.sub.2 is a substituted aliphatic radical, unsubstituted C.sub.3 -C.sub.10 -alkyl or cycloalkyl, and R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are alkyl groups; and mixtures thereof with analogous azo dyes in which R.sub.4 is H; and also the production and use of these new azo dyes and of the said mixtures thereof for dyeing and printing synthetic fibres, particularly polyester fibres. The dyes are fast to light, have good affinity to the material and a good build-up, have high coloring strength and are stable to hydrolysis.
