Abstract: A four-legged animal lifter. Lifting straps extend downward from a rotatable horse support structure. Four harnesses are connected to the lifting straps and are attached to the legs of the four-legged animal. A lifting apparatus is attached to the rotatable horse structure and is for lifting the four-legged animal upwards to reduce weight on the animal's legs. In preferred embodiment the four-legged animal is a horse.
Abstract: The invention concerns an orthopedic training or therapeutic device for dogs, hoofed animals, and camels that consists of at least one elastic band (3), at least over part (5) of its length, and that is fastened on one side to the middle rear paw or middle front paw of the extremity (4) being treated and cooperates on the other side with a chest harness (2) of the animal (1). The invention is characterized by the fact that the band (3) is fastened on the other side to a linkage point (7, 7?) in the upper area of the chest harness (2) on the withers or on the side.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for preventing knee-knock in quadruped animals such as horses comprising positioning a loop around the forelegs of the animal and urging the loop upwardly to cause the unweighted foreleg to move transversely outwardly whereby knee-knock is prevented and said animal is able to trot or pace at a higher rate of speed with a greater degree of comfort.
