Abstract: A filter insert has a filter element with an end surface at an inlet side and an end surface at an outlet side that are spaced from one another in a main flow direction of the filter insert. A frame circumferentially extends about lateral sides of the filter element. An axial seal is supported on the frame and has a sealing direction in or opposite to the main flow direction. When inserted into a filter housing and contacting a sealing surface of the filter housing, the seal separates seal-tightly the inlet and outlet. The frame has on two opposite lateral sides of the filter element contact surfaces for clamping the filter insert by matching clamping elements. The contact surfaces are oriented opposite to the sealing direction and each have an individual profile of varying height extending along the two opposite lateral sides.

  • Patent number: 7909921
Abstract: A pollution control device that provides an external air filtration system for pollutants and other undesirable materials. The system includes a pipe which is attached to the external wall of a building and which provides water to each of the filtration units. An air flow chute is associated with the pollution control device and allows incoming air to pass through a replaceable filter and adjacent to an ultraviolet light setup that are located within each air filtration unit. The air being drawn into the system and subsequently filtered is drawn in by a rooftop device that draws air upward through the device and expels it through the top of the air flow chute.

  • Patent number: 7850751
Abstract: Disclosed is a two or three phase separator including a centrifugal separator, a demister (if a three phase separator), and a filter contained within a housing. The filter uses an outside-in flow principle. The filter includes an inner layer or a center core that defines a hollow interior. An outer layer is positioned adjacent and surrounding the inner layer. The outer layer includes a re-enforcement layer, a first particle filter layer, a coalescer layer, and a second particle filter layer. An access cover of the separator includes a cover plug, an actuator cam, a plurality of idler cam plates, and a plurality of mechanisms. The access cover cooperates with an opening and an annular groove in the housing to close off and seal the separator.

  • Patent number: 7833300
Abstract: On the front surface side of a cooler, a filter mounting portion provided with a filter abutment surface with which a filter is brought into abutment from the front side of the filter mounting portion is provided. The front end side of the filter pushed in from a maintenance port is pressed onto an elastic body formed of a plate spring and provided in the filter mounting portion. Thereby, by a pressing force F1 serving as a component force of a restoring force F of the elastic body, the filter is pressed onto the filter abutment surface, and by a position fixing force F2, the filter is pushed rearwards so as to ensure an engagement state of an engaging claw and an engaging hole.

Abstract: A filter is used in combination with a register for an HVAC system, where the register is mounted to a wall, floor, or ceiling. The type of register used in this invention has a plurality of parallel blades which are located on the exterior side of the register and a plurality of vane members set behind the parallel blades, where a space is defined between the parallel blades and the plurality of vane members. The filter has a pliable rectangular frame and a pliable filter material spanning across the pliable rectangular frame. The pliable rectangular frame and pliable filter material allow the filter to be inserted between the blades for placement in the space without removing the register from the wall, floor or ceiling.
