Abstract: A sugar cane loader is provided with a C-shaped chain piler including a grab pocket flanked by a pair of guide rails and including a third guide rail located at a central lower region of the grab pocket. The shape of the chain piler is such as to increase the movement of the stalks for better cleaning during piling, while the guide rails cause the grab to be moved forward during loading such that the cane stalks are moved ahead of tines projecting from the piler chains so that the tines and/or chains are not damaged when the loaded grab is lifted.

Abstract: A material aerating and mixing machine having a material elevator which elevates, mixes and aerates the material to be processed. The material from the elevator is discharged onto a pair of conveyors, a cross conveyor that can be side shifted for windrow turning, and a discharge conveyor that is pivotally mounted for swingable movement in a horizontal plane into a different positions, one position being in line with the cross conveyor for truck loading, another at an angle for stack turning, and a third position where the conveyor is folded for windrow turning or transport. Each of the conveyors is independently powered depending upon the mode in which the machine is operated.

Abstract: Wholestalk sugar cane loading apparatus includes a movable carriage having fore and aft wheel bases and a basket supported by the carriage generally between the wheel bases and along the longitudinal central axis of the carriage, the basket defining a load carrying surface for holding harvested wholestalk cane in a generally parallel bundle fashion and at an elevational position spaced vertically above the underlying cane field surface.An inclined transfer device is positioned forward of the basket for movement the during gathering of windrowed wholestalk cane for lifting individual wholestalks of cut cane from a resting position upon the cane field ground surface to an elevated discharge position generally above the load carrying surface of the basket, so that cane stalks discharged by the transfer device can fall into the basket.

Abstract: A spiked drum is provided with a handle and frame to permit pushing the drum across the ground to pick up leaves on the spikes. The leaves are brushed off the spikes and into a basket by a rotating brush that is driven by the drum and is co-extensive in length with the drum.
