Side-delivery Rake Patents (Class 56/366)
  • Patent number: 4056923
Abstract: An agricultural implement for tedding, swath turning, hay collecting and similar operations. It comprises four rotors which rotate almost parallel to the ground and each of which carries series of outwardly directed tines. The four rotors may be alined transverse to the direction of motion, or they may be arranged according to a forwardly opening V or they may be arranged in a transport position in which the outer rotors are positioned practically in front of the inner rotors. Seen at the front of the implement, the two outer rotors always rotate toward one another, but the two inner rotors rotate away from one another in their first position and toward one another in their second position. This is obtained by swinging the pair of inner rotors over 180.degree. about a central, common pivot. The frame comprises a rearwardly extending main frame beam, a reversible cross beam at its rear end carrying the inner pair of rotors and a pair of adjustable side arms carrying the outer rotors.

  • Patent number: 4015411
Abstract: A raking machine has preferably two rake heads that are rotatable about upwardly extending axes. Each rake head has an outer circumference defined by a generally circular flexible wall with raking means supported on the circumference of the wall. The wall can have stiffening members to reinforce the wall and to hold tines or tine groups that can be pivotally mounted adjacent the lower portion of the wall. Also, the wall can be supported from a central hub by flexible spokes or chains. Alternatively, the wall can be foldable to an accordian configuration and hold crop within the folds which are controlled by a link chain and track with a driven sprocket member. The flexible wall is controlled to deposit crop at the desired place during rotation of the head or heads and crop guide members can be positioned with respect to the head or heads to arrange the crop in swaths.

  • Patent number: 3977166
Abstract: A rake comprising a frame, a plurality of rake wheels rotatably journalled by the frame and three members for fastening the frame to the three suspension rods of a tractor is simplified due to the fact that the fastening members are arranged on the three ends of a T-shaped frame tilted over an acute angle.
