  • Patent number: 10123525
Abstract: A remote controlled floatation chamber with a trolling unit can be directed to a selected site in order to treat and control aquatic plants. The chamber method allows use of a broad range of treatment agents including herbicide, chemical and microbe's and UV-C light waves to destroy aquatic species. Provisions for deflating floatation tubes on the chamber allow it to be remotely lowered over species to be treated. Once the chamber is placed over the aquatic specie the treatment agent can be dispersed within the small volume of the containment volume with minimum exposure to the surrounding water. A variable volume device or storage bladder within the containment volume may be used to recycle the herbicide once treatment is completed. The chamber can then be moved to another site and the cycle repeated.

  • Publication number: 20140150396
Abstract: A pick-up device, usable by an agricultural machine, includes a frame and first and second units. The first and second units each include a displacement device, are arranged beside each other and a small distance apart, are connected directly to the frame by respective first and second articulations having first and second distinct axes directed in a direction of advance, include respective first and second pick-up rotors rotatable about third and fourth axes, and are connected to one another by a guidance device. The first and third axes are in a same seventh plane, the second and fourth axes are in a same eighth plane. A stop mechanism defines two work end positions of the first and second units with respect to the frame, between which they can pivot freely within a limited range, and remain connected to one another regardless of their position between the work end positions.

  • Publication number: 20140137531
Abstract: A pick-up device, usable by an agricultural machine, includes a rotating part including at least one support arm, to which are attached raking and picking up tools and which is configured to pivot about a rotation axis with respect to the rotating part by at least first and second bearings, the at least first and second bearings each including an outer ring rigidly fastened to the rotating part, and with respect to which outer ring the support arm can pivot about the rotation axis. The first bearing includes an inner ring configured to pivot about the rotation axis with respect to the outer ring and rigidly fastened to the support arm. A stop mechanism connects the inner ring to the outer ring, and limits displacement of the support arm with respect to the rotating part in a direction substantially parallel to the rotation axis to a small or nil value.

  • Patent number: 7377093
Abstract: The apparatus is a farm machine that inverts crop windrows using only the raking tines of a conventional rotary rake machine. The tines engage and move an existing windrow, and invert the windrow as the crop is being disengaged from the tines. The inverting machine accomplishes the inverting by imparting motion to the discharging crop that has a vector of motion that is in the same direction as the movement of the inverter machine. This causes the crop to move faster than the machine itself and inverts the windrow by pushing the disengaging crop over the crop that was previously discharged.

  • Patent number: 7313905
Abstract: A folding frame for a drawn implement such as a hay rake is disclosed. The frame includes cushion fold cylinders, a lift cylinder, and a windrow width cylinder. The lift arms actuated by the lift cylinder lift the frame wings and engage a selector valve, providing an open circuit to either the fold cylinder or the windrow width cylinder, or both. During folding, when the cylinders reach the cushion region of their stroke, the pressure in the hydraulic circuit increases, resulting in a change in the force applied to the selector valve by the lift arm. By careful adjustment, this change in pressure will adjust the selector valve so the hydraulic circuit is open to both the fold and windrow width cylinders. Consequently, the windrow width cylinders extend, keeping the frame wings from colliding with the main frame.

  • Patent number: 6748730
Abstract: A haymaking machine for windrowing forage includes a frame carrying several rotors connected to carrier arms which are articulated to the frame and which can be moved from a work position into a transport position. The carrier arms are made as two telescopic parts of which the second carries the corresponding rotors and can slide with respect to the first part to vary the position of the corresponding rotor. The first telescopic part of at least one carrier arm includes an additional guide section making it possible to increase the distance over which the second part with the corresponding rotor can move.
