  • Patent number: 11457564
Abstract: An agricultural vehicle header having a center section, a wing section, a hinge connecting the center section's lower frame to the wing section's lower frame, and a torque transfer linkage connecting the center section's upper frame to the wing section's upper frame. The torque transfer link has a first link, a second link, a first pivot connection joining the first link to the center section upper frame, and providing a respective single degree of rotational freedom between the first link and the center section upper frame, a second pivot connection joining the first link to the second link, and providing a respective single degree of rotational freedom between the first link and the second link, and a third pivot connection joining the second link to the first wing section upper frame, and providing a respective single degree of rotational freedom between the second link and the first wing section frame.

  • Patent number: 5842332
Abstract: A row unit for a cotton stripper includes a unit auger housing with extruded slots punched with a small rim or periphery. The slots are configured such that adjacent row slot centerlines are aligned to give the housing added strength while still providing good foreign material elimination through the slots. The extruded slots eliminate sharp edges and allow trash to easily exit. The extruded slots also provide a smoother surface for conveying the cotton material along the auger housing.

  • Patent number: 5673543
Abstract: A foldable corn head having separable, matable auger sections which are cantilever suspended from the ends thereof to provide an obstruction-free path for harvested ears of corn being transported by the auger. Outer sections of the corn head are foldable vertically about horizontal hinges to reduce the width of the head for over-the-road travel. Stub auger sections are cantilever mounted from end plates in the pivotable outer corn head sections, at least one of the stub sections being driven by an actuator, such as a hydraulic motor means. The stub sections are provided with coupling elements at their inner ends which are matable with coupling elements in the ends of the main auger section. The elements have non-symmetrically disposed mating pins and bores to form the couplings and to align the ends of the helical auger flanges.
