Endless Chain Patents (Class 56/88)
  • Patent number: 11882791
Abstract: A narrow row head unit includes a back plate secured to a left gearbox and a right gearbox, which gearboxes may be positioned adjacent one another. Each gearbox may provide rotational power to a pair of stalk rolls and a drive sprocket for a gathering chain. A right mounting tab may be secured to the back plate and the right gearbox, and a left mounting tab may be secured to the back plate and left gearbox. A right plate and leg may extend outward from the back plate adjacent the right mounting tab and a left plate and leg may extend outward from the back plate adjacent the left mounting tab. A narrow row head unit positioned left-of-center on a header may have the gathering chain positioned substantially over the right plate, and right-of-center substantially over the left plate.

  • Publication number: 20040134177
Abstract: A large round baler is equipped with a bale processing arrangement in the form of a bale wrapping arrangement. A wrapping table is mounted to a guide arrangement for guided movement between a bale-receiving position and bale wrapping and bale discharge positions. The guide arrangement includes two sections, one of which can be moved to a near vertical non-operating position so as to diminish the overall length of the baler and processing arrangement. The wrapping arm of the bale wrapping arrangement can be dismounted for an operating mode where formed bales are deposited directly on the ground by the wrapping table.

  • Patent number: 5924269
Abstract: An improved row crop header, suitable for mounting on a harvesting machine, for harvesting crops planted in rows. The improved row crop header has a plurality of row units mounted on a frame of the row crop header such that each row unit has two gatherers placed in corresponding offsetting planes. The adjacent gatherers of two adjacent row units are in offsetting planes to permit the overlap of the adjacent gatherers. This overlap of the adjacent gatherers permits the row units to be arranged closer together allowing the instant row crop header to harvest narrower crop rows than the existing corn heads. Also provided is an improved method for harvesting narrow crop rows by providing a row crop header configured so that the adjacent row units of the row crop header are arranged closer together than in the existing corn heads.
