  • Publication number: 20130174531
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for spinning and crimping a synthetic multifilament yarn, wherein a filament bundle is spun from a polymer melt and compressed to a yarn plug. The yarn plug is advanced at a cooling speed and cooled within a cooling zone in a moving cooling groove. After cooling, the yarn plug is disentangled to form a crimped yarn, with the latter being wound to a package. The method of the invention also provides for selecting the length of the cooling zone and the cooling speed of the yarn plug such that the yarn plug is cooled in the cooling groove over a period of at least 1 second. To this end, the apparatus of the invention includes a cooling groove, whose width is dimensioned such that the yarn plug can be advanced in meander form in a plurality of superposed layers.

  • Publication number: 20040221567
Abstract: A process is disclosed for a spinning arrangement for dealing with the correction of an end break. During operation, sliver-like fiber material fed to the spinning arrangement is opened to single fibers by means of an opening roller. The single fibers are then transferred in the form of a fiber veil to a suctioned collecting surface, which is driven in the direction of motion of the single fibers. During the transport of the fibers by means of the collecting surface, the fiber veil is condensed to a narrow fiber strand and the condensed fiber strand is spun to a yarn downstream of a nipping line by means of a twisting nozzle. When an end-break occurs, the material feed is interrupted and the fiber strand is suctioned in the area of the nipping line until the collecting surface is free from single fibers. A piecing operation subsequently takes place.

Abstract: A cop changing and transport system for a composite ring spinning and winding machine wherein both the ring spinning machine and the winding machine have respective transport systems 2 and 3 in which circulate separate respective groups of transport pallets 25 and 26, dedicated to the respective machines. A transfer device 1 is disposed at an adjacent location between the transport systems 2 and 3, and has two adjoining transport disks 8, 9 rotating in the same direction. Cop and tube manipulating devices 42 are respectively disposed on the transport disks 8 and 9 on support columns 39 of a support structure 38, which manipulating devices are positively controlled in the course of the rotation of the transport disks 8 and 9 such that the manipulating devices continuously transfer the spinning cops 59 or the empty tubes 60 from the transport pallets of one transport system to the transport pallets of the other transport system.

  • Patent number: 5916117
Abstract: A pot spinning machine for forming a spinning cop includes a spinning pot onto an interior of which yarn is deposited to form a spinning cake; a yarn guide which deposits the yarn onto the spinning pot to form the spinning cake; a yarn carrier onto which the yarn is rewound from the spinning cake to form the spinning cop; and a lifting member that engages, moves, and positions the yarn carrier with respect to the spinning pot. The yarn guide comprises a yarn passage defined only by the yarn carrier through which the yarn passes in direct exposure to said yarn carrier for deposit in the spinning pot. A method for forming a spinning cop includes depositing yarn onto an interior of a spinning pot of the pot spinning machine to form a spinning cake; and rewinding the spinning cake onto a yarn carrier to form a spinning cop.

  • Patent number: 5845864
Abstract: A textile package transport system utilizing transport plates for transporting spinning cops, particularly within a textile machine which produces cheeses. Each transport plate has an information storage medium in the form of a magnet of ferromagnetic material having a high retentivity encodable by selective polarization thereof. Electrically chargeable encoding coils are arranged in the transport system to selectively apply a defined polarity to the magnets. The encoding coils are actuated by way of sensor signals generated as a function of a processing status of the spinning cop and Hall sensors are utilized for detecting the respective polarity of the magnets. Controllable electric switches are disposed in the transport system for controlling the conveyance of the transport plates within the system.

  • Patent number: 5822969
Abstract: A device for delivering wound bobbins from a textile machine, comprising a main conveyor of wound bobbins, the conveyor having an end, an ancillary belt conveyor which receives wound bobbins from the end of the main conveyor and conveys them in a conveying direction; and a multi-story row container at one or both lateral sides of the ancillary conveyor. The height of the ancillary conveyor is adjustable to the height of each row in the row container. An adjustment device, such as one that tilts the row of bobbins on the ancillary conveyor, causes the bobbins to move from the ancillary conveyor to a row of the row conveyor in a direction perpendicular to the motion direction of the belt of the ancillary conveyor.

  • Patent number: 5802834
Abstract: In a method for threading yarns of two supply bobbins positioned coaxially one atop the other in a two-for-one twisting spindle through at two-part hollow spindle axle and a yarn guide channel of a yarn storage disk with a compressed-air operated injection threading device, a first supply bobbin is inserted into a two-for-one twisting spindle. A free yarn end of a second supply bobbin is threaded from above through a yarn guide tube of the second supply bobbin. The free yarn end of the second supply bobbin and the free yarn end of the first supply bobbin are combined and guided into an inlet of a yarn guide tube of the first supply bobbin. The compressed-air operated threading device is actuated and the second supply bobbin is then inserted into the two-for-one twisting spindle on top of the first supply bobbin.

Abstract: A bobbin changing apparatus for a flyer frame which allows works to freely be performed by attendants at a front side of the flyer frame at any time during the operation of the flyer frame, while eliminating need for providing independent rails for transporting full bobbins and empty bobbins, respectively. Disposed at a front side of a flyer frame (2) is a work platform (35) on which the number of pegs (49) which is twice as large as that of bobbin wheels are mounted with a pitch equal to a half of that of the bobbin wheels (4). Each of the pegs (49) can selectively be disposed at an operative position on a top surface of a cover plate (41) and to a retracted position retracted from the top surface. Further, the pegs can be driven reciprocatively over a distance corresponding to one pitch of the peg array.
