Abstract: Method and apparatus for reducing residual torque in singles ring yarns, achieved by imparting two separate false twisting points on the traveling strand of fibers (or yarn) after the strand exits from the spinning triangle with a proper ratio between the belt speed and the strand feeding speed. In addition to reducing the residual torque, this double false twist technique also reduces yarn hairiness to the same level as achieved by more expensive compact spinning devices, reduces yarn twist by more than 20% and significantly enhances yarn and fabric softness. Furthermore, by combining the double false twist technique with a compact spinning device, the numbers of neps, thick and thin places are significantly reduced to produce high-quality yarns and fine-count yarns.

Abstract: An internal torque balancing method of short fibre yarns related to the art of textile and the manufacturing apparatus thereof. The present invention proposes a completely new mechanical processing method of single torque-free yarns, and applies it into the process of ring spinning. Said method accomplishes a machine and a possibility of processing single torque-free yarns within one processing step by simple improvement on the existing ring spinning machine. Said technique is applicable to the production of all types of short fibre materials, and can overcome the maximum bundle yarn count of Ne limit of the torque-free yarns processed by the existing physical balancing technique. Meanwhile, said technique can process the yarns with low twist, which is unable to be processed normally by the conventional ring spinning machine. The torque-free singles ring spinning machine has good mechanical behaviour, good handle, and evenness without residual torque.

  • Patent number: 6535149
Abstract: This invention relates to an electronic device, for a fax machine in particular, comprising controlling means (11) capable of associating compression codes or code words with strings of source information in accordance with a first processing speed, and storing means, for example shift registers (31, 32) capable of appending the code words to one another so as to form blocks of compressed information, in accordance with a second processing speed, greater than the first. The device is also capable of “extracting” the single code words from blocks of compressed information at this second processing speed. By way of the technique of using different processing speeds, the device makes it possible to obtain total speeds of compression and/or decompression of the information respectively to be transmitted and/or received much greater than those obtainable up to now with the known devices.

  • Patent number: 5852924
Abstract: Thread is wound between spin hooks (20) and anchor hooks (26) and around loop-pins (TP, BP) to form two thread groups, one extending between a first spin hook (20) and the anchor hook (26) and the other extending between the anchor hook (26) and the second spin hook (20). The spin hooks (20) are both rotated in the same direction, at the same speed, for separately twisting the two thread groups. Then, the two separately wound thread groups are moved laterally together and allowed to unwind and at the same time wind together in the opposite direction, to form a single fly fishing leader, or the like. The thread is wound to form twelve thread strands in a butt section of the leader, ten thread strands in a mid-section of the leader and eight thread strands in a tip section of the leader (FIG. 11). As a result, the leader that is formed tapers from the butt end to the tip end.
