Blanks And Processes Patents (Class 59/12)
  • Patent number: 9403565
Abstract: The disclosure may provide a method of forming a track assembly. In the method, a track pin may be disposed within a first through hole of a first track link and within a second through hole of a second track link. A force may be applied to a tool positioned in a first position to plastically deform a first portion of the first track link which surrounds the first through hole, to thereby form a first connection between the track pin and the first track link. A force may be applied to the tool positioned in a second position to plastically deform a second portion of the first track link which surrounds the first through hole, to thereby form a second connection between the track pin and the first track link. The second connection may be formed after the first connection.

  • Patent number: 7150142
Abstract: An improved chain, compatible with food grade lubricants, is capable of use in poultry and other meat processing facilities. The chain comprises pairs of side links alternating with center links, and held together with pins. A pair of lubricating wells is located on each side link, proximate the insertion point of the pins. The lubricating well provides lubricating access to the pins, and is capable of retaining lubricant such that lubricant is continuously provided to the pins and their pivot points throughout the operation of the chain.

  • Patent number: 4263779
Abstract: A T-headed pin for use in rivetless chain, generally of the trolley conveyor type, is disclosed. The pin can entirely replace the conventional forged pin of any ordinary size and has superior design matching abilities. It is unique in that it is constructed entirely from a flat piece of sheet metal. Rectangular metal blanks with paired oppositely projecting tabs are provided. The blank is first curled to form the body of the pin with the tabs projecting endwise therefrom. In automated manufacture of chain of the type mentioned in selected lengths, the links may be readily assembled with curled pins having tabs projecting axially from both ends. The tabs may then be bent as required to complete the chain length. Alternatively, the tabs at one end only may be bent and lengths of chain may be readily assembled by inserting the other end of each pin into place and then bending the tabs at said other end.
