Abstract: The present invention relates generally to a parallel cylinder-type check valve and, more particularly, to a parallel cylinder-type check valve in which two shock-absorbing dampers are connected in parallel to each other so as to absorb shock when a valve is closed, wherein the length of a rocker arm connected to any one shock-absorbing damper is adjusted to be longer according to the principle of a lever in order to provide a sufficient shock-absorbing effect. Also, the present invention relates to a parallel cylinder-type check valve, which is rapidly closed at a high speed at the time of the initial closing of the valve and is slowly closed at a low speed at the later closing of the valve by means of the parallel cylinder, thereby preventing noise and vibration, as well as preventing water hammer.

Abstract: The hybrid comprises a two-cycle engine, boosted by the engine power compressor and a hydraulic pump. The pump plunger fastened to engine piston and located coaxially with the compressor piston and pump rotor, provide direct energy transmission to the compressor and pump. The plunger and compressor piston, each connected to one of two diametrically opposite axial push rods, of the rotor. The push rods synchronize and balance the pistons, which move opposite directions into underside of the engine piston space. The reducer synchronizes the separate rotors motion, activate engine and compressor camshafts and conventional accessory units. The engine can be high power started and restarted irrespective of parking time. Because of direct energy transmission the hybrid increases efficiency and specific power, while minimizing the weight, installation space and fuel consumption necessary in particular for automobile hydrostatic transmission.
Abstract: A manually operated zero-load rapid lifting hydraulic jack has a lifting arm and a lever which are connected properly together by contacting one another. As a contact way of the jack lifting arm and the lever, a lifting arm is formed with an integral receiver portion, which could be in the form of a receiving hole, a receiving tube, a receiving block or any infinite variety of receiver configurations, there by, one end of the lever can be inserted into or locate over those receivers as described above. Thereby, in zero load, as the lever being pressed downwards and the lifting arm axle serving as a fulcrum to drive the lifting arm to move upwards rapidly to a position of contacting with a lift point.
Abstract: A cosmetic composition is provided which includes an organic sunscreen agent, a water-insoluble polymeric powder of porous particles, and an aqueous system wherein pH is less than 7. The porous particles remove the tackiness normally associated with organic sunscreen agents and low pH systems thereby providing a resultant composition of excellent skinfeel.

Abstract: A pneumatically operated hydraulic pump includes a cylinder housing accommodating a main piston to subdivide the housing interior in two working chambers. The main piston is connected to a hydraulic piston for joint reciprocation so that the hydraulic piston can carry out a suction stroke when the main piston moves to one end position and a pressure stroke when the main piston moves to the other end position. Arranged laterally to the cylinder housing is a control mechanism for regulating a flow of working fluid alternately to the working chambers. The control mechanism includes a plastic valve casing for accommodating a control piston having opposite end faces of different size to define different effective areas and thereby realize reciprocation of the control piston by the working fluid. A slide shoe is guided in the valve casing for conjoint movement with the control piston.

Abstract: Aviator harness fittings are pneutically actuated by a central device including a pressurized gas cartridge. A firing pin may mechanically pierce the cartridge or automatic ballistic actuation of the firing pin may be accomplished by SEA WARS gas-generating devices when the latter contacts sea water. The ballistic actuation of the present invention requires two separate SEA WAR gas-generating devices to fire simultaneously thereby minimizing the chance of false actuation.
Abstract: In a system for opening and closing a main line valve by use of high pressure hydraulic fluid which is controlled from a remote location and in which the fluid passes through a hand pump located at the site of the valve, a protective lock-out system is provided for guarding against personal injury in the event the high pressure fluid should arrive at the hand pump while it is being manually operated. The lock-out system includes a small piston located in an air passageway which is positioned outwardly of the hand pump main piston chamber. This passageway extends from the top of the hand pump main piston chamber toward the IN port which receives the high pressure hydraulic fluid. The piston is connected by a shaft to a poppet valve. The high pressure fluid is applied to the under-surface of the piston and to the seat side of the poppet valve.

Abstract: A hydraulic system and latching mechanism for a cab tiltably mounted to the chassis of a vehicle. The cab is normally disposed over the engine of the vehicle and is pivotally attached to the chassis at its forward end for movement through 90.degree.. The cab is powered by an air-motor-actuated hydraulic pump which energizes lifting cylinders disposed between the chassis and cab. When the system is energized, a hydraulically actuated latch is released prior to commencement of the tilting movement of the cab. A direction-control valve is employed which, when in the neutral or closed position, utilizes the pressures generated in the hydraulic system by the weight of the tilted cab in certain positions to assist the valve in sealing the reservoir port in the valve against leakage thereby preventing the cab from creeping.
