Publication number: 20110036084Abstract: A vehicle cab tilting device for a vehicle with a tiltable cab, a chassis and pivot means which connect the cab to the chassis, in which the cab can be tilted through an angle with respect to the chassis between a driving position and a forwardly tilted position. The tilting device comprises a pump (1) having at least one pump port (2) for delivering pressurized hydraulic fluid, a reservoir for hydraulic fluid (3), and a hydraulic tilting cylinder (20) for tilting the cab, which tilting cylinder has a first and a second connection port (21, 22). The tilting cylinder is a multistage telescopic hydraulic tilting cylinder with an outer telescopic part (30), at least one intermediate telescopic part (40), and a central telescopic part (50), each intermediate telescopic part and the central telescopic part being displaceable with respect to one another and to the outer telescopic part.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 18, 2009Publication date: February 17, 2011Inventors: Roeland Mallan, Ivo Gert-Jan Maria Reinink

Patent number: 5946912Abstract: An oil return loop of a hydraulic cylinder which includes a plurality of equiangularly spaced V-shaped oil return grooves at the inside wall of an inner cylinder of the hydraulic cylinder for guiding saturated hydraulic oil to the outer cylinder of the hydraulic cylinder when the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder is extended out. Each of V-shaped oil return grooves has two smoothly arched chamfered edges respectively disposed at connecting areas between the V-shaped oil return grooves and the inside wall of the inner cylinder to facilitate movement of the oil seal ring of the piston of the piston rod over the oil return loop.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 1998Date of Patent: September 7, 1999Inventor: Michael Hung

Patent number: 5088283Abstract: A proportional directional control valve in combination with a pressure compensator flow rate control valve opening towards a reservoir and a pressure unloading valve in the load- pressure- carrying control line for the compensator valve are provided to actuate the telescopic cylinder of a tipper truck. The valve device is connected to a pump of constant displacement. The operating speed of the telescopic cylinder is independent from the load to be lifted and the driving speed of the pump. Upon reaching a predetermined load pressure the pressure unloading valve is activated and the load pressure engaging the compensator valve towards closing direction is reduced via the reservoir such that the compensator valve opens and the pump displacement volume returns to the reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 1990Date of Patent: February 18, 1992Assignee: Mannesmann Rexroth GmbHInventor: Deian Bosniac

Patent number: 4928488Abstract: A hydraulically-operated support device for semitrailers is disclosed comprising a hydraulic cylinder semitrailer support and a pump subassembly having three independently operable pumps for generating and controlling the hydraulic operating pressure. The hydraulic cylinder semitrailer support has an extending piston in an extending cylinder, in the bottom end of which is formed a load-raising cylinder for a load raising-piston. A first annular space is formed between the extending piston and the extending cylinder and a second annular space is formed between the load-raising piston and the load-raising cylinder. The annular spaces allow application of pressure in the retraction direction. The pump subassembly comprises an extending pump acting on the extending piston, a load-raising pump acting on the load-raising piston and a retracting pump acting on the annular spaces.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 1989Date of Patent: May 29, 1990Inventor: Walter Hunger

Patent number: 4581894Abstract: A hydraulic apparatus for converting hydraulic pressure into mechanical movement for operating a tool or other device, operated by a pump block having a bore therein and a moveable plunger disposed within said bore. A cylinder is disposed over the pump block. The cylinder is captively held over the pump block and is moveable with respect thereto along the common axis. A fluid reservoir is defined between the cylinder and the pump block, and contains the hydraulic fluid. The plunger is operated by a pair of moveable arms secured to the apparatus and causes pressure to build in the fluid in an inlet chamber which communicates between the pump block and the cylinder. A pressure control valve is mounted adjacent the pump block and limits the hydraulic pressure which may be applied in the system. A release valve and apparatus is provided for releasing the hydraulic pressure and returning it to the reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: July 9, 1985Date of Patent: April 15, 1986Assignee: Square D CompanyInventors: Austin L.
