  • Patent number: 10468847
Abstract: A handheld hydraulically actuatable crimping device includes a hydraulic piston that can be displaced in a cylinder against the force of a spring. The piston is connected to a crimping part by a piston rod in order to carry out a crimping operation. The piston includes first and second partial pistons with first and second partial application faces which can be acted upon with hydraulic medium that has the same hydraulic pressure. Both partial pistons are respectively connected to a first and a second crimping part. The second crimping part can at a greater traveling distance only be acted upon with the second partial piston. The second crimping part can be acted upon with both partial pistons over a first partial traveling distance that is defined by the displacement of the first partial piston from its initial position up to the point, at which it reaches a stop. The first crimping part is axially covered in its entirety by the second crimping part.

When the load on the lifting shaft is removed, the hydraulic liquid flows back to the outer oil reservoir in a larger quantity in a short time. Hence the lifting shaft can quickly return to the its original position. Further, the fastener assembly is located between the lifting shaft and the mandrel, which has the advantages of enhancing the accuracy of the clearance between the mandrel and the inner oil reservoir of the lifting shaft, and preventing the positional shift of the mandrel in the inner oil reservoir. Abstract: A single-hand operated tool comprising: first and second relatively movable elements adapted to be associated with a head assembly for application of pressure to a workpiece; a housing; a hydraulic pump disposed within the housing; hydraulic fluid communication means associated with the pump for exerting hydraulic force on the relatively movable elements; articulated lever means associated with the pump and arranged such that reciprocal motion of the lever means provided by the action of a single hand, unassisted, operates the pump and produces a desired force on the workpiece; release valve means for releasing the force exerted by the hydraulic fluid in response to a manual actuation produced by the single hand and including a valve stem and seat wherein the force urging seating of the valve stem against the valve seat is smaller than the desired force.

  • Patent number: 4136521
Abstract: The unit comprises outer and inner coaxial cylinders defining an hydraulic fluid reservoir between the inner walls of the outer cylinder and the outer walls of the inner cylinder. The opposite ends of the cylinders are closed off by a lower closure means and an upper cylinder head. A single piston within the inner cylinder has first and second piston rods extending from opposite sides through the cylinder head and lower closure. The cylinder head includes an hydraulic pump with passages placing the reservoir into communication with the interior of the inner cylinder above the piston together with appropriate check valves so that operation of the hydraulic pump will move the piston down the inner cylinder to exert a pulling force on the first piston rod and a pushing force on the second piston rod.

  • Patent number: 4078383
Abstract: A hydraulic vehicle jack including a novel release valve is disclosed. The jack is of the type having a high pressure cylinder, a ram partially extensible from and retractable into the cylinder, and a high pressure pump for forcing fluid from a reservoir into the cylinder to extend the jack. When it is desired to lower the jack, the release valve needle is turned so as to withdraw a needle tip from fluid-flow-halting engagement with a valve seat. This needle tip is formed in the shape of a cone having an altitude of a dimension greater than the cone base radius. When the needle tip is withdrawn from its position against the valve seat, a small but precisely defined fluid-flow-permitting orifice is created. Valve lowering action then occurs over an extended time period which permits the jack operator to precisely control or halt valve lowering action as desired.

  • Patent number: 4054155
Abstract: This invention describes a valve in which the flow gate is operated by a piston in a hydraulic cylinder. The piston is forced axially, against the resistance of a coiled spring, by means of hydraulic fluid pressure provided by a motor driven pump. Electrical limit switches are provided on the movement of the piston. A check valve is provided in the output of the pump so that once the gate has been moved to the desired position as set by the limit switch, the motor will be stopped and the piston will remain in its position. To reset the piston to its original position, a solenoid by-pass valve is provided which is energized when the motor is energized, and when de-energized, provides a bypass between the cylinder and a sump, so that the pressure on the piston is released to atmospheric and the spring will force the piston back to its starting point.

  • Patent number: 4010609
Abstract: The invention relates to improved jack-pump devices comprising a pump with a sliding piston forming first and second pump chambers, one on each side, a jack with a sliding piston forming first and second jack-chambers, one on each side, a first valve between the pump chambers, acting unidirectionally from the second to the first pump chambers, a second valve between the first chambers of the pump and the jack, and a communication device between the second chambers of the pump and the jack, the pump and jack pistons being slidably mounted and axially aligned in the same body filled with fluid, a fixed transverse partition disposed in the cylinder body between the two pistons, and a plunger for compensating variations of volume, slidably mounted in one of the two second chambers, close to the corresponding extremity of the body. The main application is as a lifting device for regulating the height of members or parts of moving machines, of seats for chairs, vehicles, building stays, etc.
