Abstract: A portable hydro-thermal therapy system for use with a vessel for containing water and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, the portable hydro-thermal therapy system includes a mobile trailer having a platform to achieve point-to-point haulage thereof. A cool water supply device having inlet and outlet port is mounted on the platform. The cool water supply device includes a water circulation path from the inlet port to the outlet port, a water pump coupled to the water circulation path, and a refrigeration cycle contained within the cool water supply device. A thermostat and water pump may cooperate in combination to provide water between about 50° F. and about 55° F. The water circulation path is thermally proximate to the evaporator coil in order to cool the water being pumped through the water circulation path to and from the vessel by way of inlet and outlet tubing.

Abstract: An occupant-actuated massager for a hydrotherapy vessel. The massager jet has an actuation point at which the occupant applies force to cause the pressurized water to flow therethrough and provide a massage via a shuttle. A valve piston is actuated to open and close based on the application of force to the actuation point. Optionally, a venturi can be used to introduce air into the water flow to provide further massage.

Abstract: A technique for influencing the human brain can be applied to treat PTSD through stimulating the brain with a beat in, for example, the theta (?) frequency to influence the brain to relax. Alternatively, the human brain can be stimulated with a beat in the alpha (?) frequency to stimulate active thinking. Over a series of treatments the brain of an individual suffering from PTSD can be influenced to operate at a normal frequency. Advantageously, as the frequency is adjusted, the symptoms of PTSD recur less often until the individual ceases to experience the symptoms or has at least experienced a decreased recurrence of the symptoms.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a vibroacoustic water system. The water system includes a reservoir configured to contain water and comprising a wall. The water system further includes four transducers mounted against the wall of the reservoir. The four transducers are configured to receive an input signal and to generate vibrations within water contained in the reservoir by vibrating the wall of the reservoir. The four transducers are mounted in a configuration such that, when the wall is partitioned into four sections, only a single transducer is mounted against each section of the wall and no other transducers are mounted against the wall.

Abstract: A foot spa tub includes a tub basin, a first magnetic drive member rotatably coupled to a drive motor, and a first casing supporting the magnetic drive member. The first casing is disposed against an exterior surface of a sidewall of the basin. A second magnetic drive member is rotatably coupled to a blade. The first and second magnetic drive members are magnetically coupled to each other so that the blade is drivingly coupled to the drive motor. A nozzle houses the second magnetic drive member and the blade. The nozzle is detachably securable to an interior surface of the sidewall by a magnetic attraction force between the first and second magnetic drive members. The nozzle is further secured in place through a fixation assembly which prevents displacement and rotation of the nozzle during operation.

Abstract: A bead massage device is provided, which includes a vessel for receiving a plurality of beads submerged in a bath. The vessel includes at least one inner wall that drives the beads so that the beads are moved when contacting a human limb inserted into said vessel. The vessel is rotatably mounted and preferably removable so that it can be easily cleaned and disinfected.

Abstract: A soaking basin is provided having a base unit, a disposable liner, and a frame nested therebetween to enable removal of the liner from the base unit, even when filled with liquid. In this manner, a user can remove the liner filled with liquid to pour out the liquid and discard the liner, after a treatment has been completed. Thus, the user need not lift the entire soaking basin to pour out liquid. In addition, the user can use the frame to support the new liner while filling it with liquid, and to transport the filled liner to the base unit to service clients.

Abstract: To reposition parts of the body, pool therapy fixtures are used in a pool to develop neuromuscular recognition of the normal human musculoskeletal, respiratory and neurological patterns with feed forward activation. Individual muscles are isolated using the buoyancy of the pool, and in some cases applying streams of water within the pool against specific muscles. Selected forces may be applied using water jets in multiple directions in a programmed sequence with at least one pool therapy fixture to provide neuromuscular training.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing dry hydrotherapy to a reclined human subject in a home or commercial environment. The systems include an enclosed tub with an external support frame and an internal operational frame. The enclosed tub includes a multi-layer cover upon which the human subject may recline to receive the hydrotherapy. The cover includes an open netting layer attached to a perimeter edge of the tub for supporting the weight of the user and a pliable waterproof layer positioned over the netting for containing the liquid used in the hydrotherapy while still transferring the massaging force of the liquid to the user. The liquid is directed under pressure against the underside of the cover with a moveable liquid jet source positioned on a track within the tub. A liquid circulation system cycles the liquid through the tub enclosure in the process of providing the dry hydrotherapy. A sleep system includes a selectively inflated air mattress.

Abstract: A foot massager adapted to hold a fluid that may be deposited from above onto a user's feet including a housing having a foot supporting floor and walls extending upwardly therefrom to form a basin and adapted to hold a fluid. There may be a fluid transport device disposed within the housing and being operatively connected to a fluid inlet disposed in the basin. A pump may be used in the fluid transport device to dispose the fluid out of a fluid outlet to a place disposed above and spaced a distance from the floor of the basin. The fluid outlet and the floor defines a foot receiving space there between whereby the fluid exiting the fluid outlet falls through the foot receiving space and into the basin. There may be a fluid distributor which allows the fluid to fall in a uniform layer to create a waterfall effect.

The seat 10 consists of a seat cushion 11 mounted and secured upon the supporting structure 20, and a seatback 12 upstanding on a rear edge of the seat cushion 11. A massaging mechanism 50 is internally installed within the seatback 12, and a seat moving mechanism 40 moves the seat cushion 11 back and forth. A foot bath tub 30 is formed on the supporting structure 20 in front of the seat cushion 11, and the foot bath tub 30 has water spouting holes 31, 32 and 33 on its bottom, on its side walls and on its rear wall respectively, and has a water spouting shower device 34 above it.

Abstract: An apparatus for disinfecting and removing standing water from the hydraulic plumbing system that circulates water in a whirlpool bath. The apparatus includes a pneumatic pump fluidically coupled to the whirlpool hydraulic plumbing system of a whirlpool bathtub, such that air pressure from the pneumatic pump can be used to flush standing water out of the hydraulic plumbing after each use of the whirlpool bathtub. An ozone generator is pneumatically connected to the pneumatic pump, such that the air circulated by the pump is enriched with ozone or ozonated. The pneumatic plumbing connecting the pneumatic pump to the hydraulic plumbing system is positioned substantially above the maximum water level allowed in the tub and also substantially above the hydraulic plumbing system.
