Abstract: A device for applying cold therapy to the plantar surface the foot is disclosed. The device includes a base that provides reasonable stability for the device when applied to a supporting surface, such as the floor, and a removable, freezable roller. The roller is of sufficient width to encompass the entire plantar surface through a rolling motion. The user rolls the sole of his foot against the cold roller surface resulting in relief of common plantar ailments including plantar fasciitis.
Abstract: A massaging device which is straddled over the doorstop of a door opening at an elevated location coincident with a hard-to-reach back area and held in place by the leaning weight of a user moving back and forth and up an down permitting a self-administered back massage.
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a massaging apparatus that faithfully incorporates the rhythm or melody of a music source and performs massage with accents arranged more effectively based on these. A massaging apparatus of the present invention comprises massaging mechanisms (4, 5) that give mechanical impulses to a body by driving motors (5a, 10, 11), and a control device (13) that controls operations of the motors. The control device (13) comprises a waveform converter (18) having a waveform converting circuit for converting a waveform of an audio signal input from a sound source (A), such as a smoothing circuit, a differentiating circuit, or an integrating circuit, and a specific frequency band signal selecting unit (17) having a low pass filter, a high pass filter, and a band pass filter. In accordance with a control signal output from the waveform converter (18) and the specific frequency band signal selecting unit (17), the operations of the motors are controlled.

Abstract: An abdominal exerciser device comprising a resilient rubber ball rollably engaging a plurality of ball bearings mounted inside an almost complete in height semi-spherical cavity upwardly oriented within a self-standing casing and allowing the rubber ball a free-rolling action when applied against a body part such as the abdominal, waist and/or hips effectively pressuring and massaging the muscles of the body part. One or more casings may also be mounted on absorbing materials themselves mounted onto a rigid frame structure adapted to support a user.
Abstract: A battery compartment (10) associated with a battery-powered electrical device, the compartment (10) including control elements (12) for varying the electrical power delivered to the device; the control elements include a rotatable member (12), a water-proofing washer member (33) located within the control elements (12) and between the rotatable member and a battery contact member (26, 28) so that the operation of the associated electrical device can be controlled while the washer member serves to achieve the required level of water-proofing.
Abstract: A sole massaging device including a housing having a base and a cover adapted to be mounted on the base, a driving mechanism including a motor, a driving gear, two brackets, a chain, a driven gear and an axle, a plurality of leaves fastened on the axle and each of the leaves being distant from an adjacent one of the leaves by an angle of 45 degrees, and a rectangular fabric covered on the leaves and having four corners fastened on the base, whereby the device can effectively knead the sole of an user.
