Abstract: A calf garment assembly having, a calf garment having an internal chamber and being substantially airtight and being in fluid communication with a pressurized air source, and a heating element working in conjunction with the calf garment to provide heated DVT therapy.
Abstract: A pillow with simulated respiration includes a pair of impervious panels that are joined together to form a rectangular shaped enclosed body and a mechanism for inflating/deflating the body periodically to simulate an individual's breathing. The pillow may also include a cushion on top of the body with an electric heating pad on top of the cushion together with a pair of vibrators. The vibrators each have an elongated shape and are constructed and dimensioned to message an individual's neck and upper shoulders when the individual's head is placed on the cushion. The pillow also includes a textile cover with a zipper on one side thereof and a satin pillow case.
Abstract: A therapeutic device includes an elastomeric outer shell configured as a human hand and defining an interior area, the outer shell having a finger end opposite a wrist end. The device includes a pocket in the interior area, the pocket being defined by an inner wall. An endplate is coupled to the outer shell and coupled to the inner wall to define a closed area between the outer shell and pocket, the endplate having an opening for allowing access to the pocket. A fill material is positioned in the closed area. The device includes a vibrating unit removably positioned in the pocket through the endplate opening, the vibrating unit having a lock complementary to a catch to couple the vibrating unit to the endplate, the vibrating unit having a vibrating motor in electrical communication with a power source and a switch.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a pad and sound transmission system which is adapted to directly transmit audible sound waves into the body at high intensity levels. In one embodiment, the subject invention includes a back pad and a seat pad. Each pad includes a speaker module having an acoustic speaker disposed within the pad and surrounded by a plurality of different layers.
Abstract: A physical exercise device using a T-shaped bar, comprises: a vertical rod constituting the T-shaped bar and having a plurality of first height-adjusting holes; a hollow vertical rod telescopically fitted around the vertical rod and having a plurality of second height-adjusting holes; a horizontal rod horizontally secured to the hollow vertical rod and having a pair of footrests fixed thereto; a pair of vane-shaped cushioning plates attached to the pair of footrests, respectively, and each having a thinner front and a thicker rear; a base having a projection formed at one end thereof; and a seat secured onto the base and having a higher front and a lower rear.
Abstract: A hot and cold massaging unit (10) comprises a housing (12) having a receptacle (26) therein. A plurality of vibrators (36) are surrounded by padding (34) in the housing. A plurality of gel packs (32) which are capable of retaining heat and cold, are insertable within receptacle (26) which is then closable by a zipper (28). Gel packs (32) can therefor also be removed from and replaced in the receptacle.
Abstract: A multi-function cushion is provided having a slip cover, a soft pad enclosed within the slip cover, and having a plurality of magnets on the front side. A control panel with an outer instruction cover coupled to an inner housing chamber is disposed within a recess formed in the soft pad. The control panel includes a vibration switch, a heating switch and a power socket. A heating device is mounted between the front side of the soft pad and the slip cover, and is electrically connected with the heating switch of the control panel. A vibration motor disposed in the rear side of the soft pad is electrically connected with the vibration switch and the power socket of the control panel. A pressure switch is installed in the rear side of the soft pad and electrically connected with the power socket, the vibration switch and the heating device, whereby the cushion not only can support the user's lumbar region, but can also provide heating and massaging effects, and magnetic stimulation of the user.
