  • Patent number: 12053331
Abstract: A deep tendon reflex-eliciting device actuated by pressure against a patient's skin, which releases a spring-loaded mass that delivers an impulse through a fully-enclosed housing. This device includes a weight contained within the casings, and a mainspring in communication with the weight. The mainspring has a bias toward expansion. In the compressed position, the mainspring is also compressed, and the weight is pushed backwards into the rear casing. The weight is released to be driven forward by the mainspring. The weight strikes the inside of the forward casing, delivering an impulse to a surface against which the device is pressed. A reset spring can push apart the forward and rear casings to reset the device to its expanded position. A case screw is also included which is able to consistently set the impact force of the device.

  • Patent number: 11376187
Abstract: A percussive massage device, including a massage head, a base and a motor, the massage head is fastened and connected to the base, and further including an eccentric wheel, an eccentric bracket, a movable member and an elastically deformable guider. The base, the guider and the movable member are arranged from the front to the rear in sequence and are fixedly connected. The movable member is provided with a supporting shaft. The motor, the eccentric wheel and the eccentric bracket are linked arranged in sequence. The eccentric bracket is provided with a first mounting hole at the front end. The supporting shaft penetrates into the first mounting hole through a first bearing. Since the base and the massage head can move horizontally forward or backward, and the guider elastically deforms forward or backward at the same time, thereby the human body can be quickly and gently massaged by tapping.

  • Patent number: 9168009
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fluoroscopy type four-point frame for spine surgery comprising an upper support plate, two pairs of slide seats, a pair of slide rails and two pairs of support cushions. The left and right side defined at the front and rear of the upper support plate are respectively provided with a pair of the slide seats connected through the slide rail, thereby allowing each of the slide seats to slide towards left and right at the corresponding edge of the upper support plate. The front and rear of the pair of the slide rails are respectively provided with a pair of the support cushions, thereby allowing each of the support cushions to forwardly and backwardly slide on the corresponding slide rail; because the frame for spine surgery is made of a non-metal material, no interference of metal component is generated when spine fluoroscopy is processed.

  • Patent number: 8920467
Abstract: The invention provides a lumbago treatment instrument which manipulates the pelvis safely and properly by pressing the coccyx utilizing the patient's own body weight. A coccyx contact treatment member is disposed inside a cylindrical casing so as to be movable in the vertical direction via an elastic member. A coccyx contact buffering member made of sponge or the like is provided on the upper end of the coccyx contact treatment member. The patient straddles the coccyx contacting buffering member, assuming a sitting posture, and places the coccyx on the coccyx contact buffering member. In this posture, both feet are slightly lifted from the floor to apply the body weight on the coccyx contact buffering member so that the coccyx is pushed up from below. When doing so, the patient continues to maintain an upright posture while pressing the upper body against a posture holding member and gripping a handle with both hands.

  • Publication number: 20100137907
Abstract: A power operated chiropractic adjuster is disclosed. It uses a driving set to rotate an urging ring, which drives a pulling ring to perform a reciprocal motion along its axial direction. It has an impact set that includes a control pin, a plunger, and an escape tube connected with the pulling ring to perform a reciprocal motion with the pulling ring. The rear section of the firing ring has a second spring. The escape tube is mounted on the plunger and constrains it. The control pin is disposed inside the plunger and can release the constraint between the plunger and the escape tube. The plunger is driven by a restoring elastic force of the second spring to perform a firing action. The power operated chiropractic adjuster also has an urging pin set whose one end is disposed opposite to the impact set and whose other end is opposite to a hammer set. When the plunger fires, the urging pin set is hit by the plunger to push the hammer set, producing an ejection effect.

  • Patent number: 5662686
Abstract: A patient suffering from a condition of spinal muscle imbalance is treated by the application of controlled impact forces applied at specific points to the patient's neck. The point of application is to one side or the other of the spine at the rear of the patient's neck. The side to which the impact forces are applied is determined by areas of the body at which prior trauma has occurred that created the condition of spinal muscle imbalance. The forces are applied against the rear of the patient's neck directly below the head and at a force application point immediately at the splenius muscle and between the attachment of the superior border of the trapezius and the sternocleido mastoideus muscles to the patient's head. the impact forces are of a selected magnitude of between about four ounces and five pounds and are applied at a rising angle of about twenty five degrees toward the eye socket-temple area of the opposite side of the patient's head.
