Abstract: A mount usable with an implantable extra-articular system including a body having a first end opposite a second end. The mount includes a coupling connection positioned at the first end of the mount for attaching the mount to a base component. The mount also includes a multi-dimensional articulating connection component configured at the second end of the mount. The body of the mount offsets the articulating connection component away from body anatomy when coupled to the base component. The mount also orients and aligns a link absorber that is coupled to the articulating connection component.

Abstract: A plate puller device can include a head portion and extension rod portion. The device enables the fastener receiving member to be pulled against a bone surface before a head section of the fastener is advanced within the fastener receiving member into a locked position. The head portion can be positioned between the head section of the fastener and a surface of the fastener receiving member not adjacent to the bone surface. Also, a plate puller device can include a screwdriver, a grasper portion and a grasper sleeve. The grasper portion and grasper sleeve can be threadingly mated wherein rotation of the grasper sleeve forces a head portion of the grasper portion to grip the head section of the fastener to prevent the head section from advancing within the fastener receiving member.
Abstract: A surgical method and apparatus employs a trochanteric grip or bone plate having cable guides adapted to direct the necessary transitions in cable direction smoothly in different planes, thereby directing the cable in the direction of tension and preventing wear and concentration of stress in the cable.
