  • Patent number: 11938060
Abstract: An ophthalmic device for treating eye tissue using laser pulses comprises a projection optical unit for focused projection of the laser pulses and a scanning device, with a movable mirror, arranged downstream from the projection optical unit, for deflecting the laser pulses projected by the projection optical unit in at least one deflection direction. The ophthalmic device moreover comprises an optical correction element arranged downstream of the scanning device, which correction element is configured to image, in a focused manner, the laser pulses deflected by the scanning device on an intended treatment area in the eye tissue. The optical correction element renders it possible to therefore correct image field curvatures caused by the scanning device arranged downstream from the projection optical unit and, for example, image the deflected laser pulses in focus onto a plane.

  • Patent number: 11246195
Abstract: A fluorescent type of green light source of a semiconductor in a light source apparatus for an endoscope includes a blue excitation light source device and green emitting phosphor. The blue excitation light source device emits blue excitation light. The green emitting phosphor is excited by the blue excitation light, and emits green fluorescence. A dichroic filter in a dichroic mirror cuts off the blue excitation light from an emission spectrum of mixed light of the blue excitation light and green fluorescence from the fluorescent type of green light source. Thus, illumination light with the emission spectrum of a target can be stably supplied without influence of the blue excitation light to a light amount of blue light from a blue light source of a semiconductor.

Abstract: A system and method that include using biophotonic and/or phononic systems for deactivating viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens that may be present on people, their clothing, or other surfaces. Biophotonic refers to the use of photons in specific wavelengths of the FAR-Ultraviolet C radiation and/or FAR-Infrared C radiation to affect the interior structure and chemistry of bacteria and viruses to degrade them and render them harmless. The infrared radiation may also provide a phononic effect that degrades the physical conditions of the cell or virus sufficiently to disrupt the cellular machinery, deactivating the virus. Furthermore, a higher temperature Inside the UVIR system makes negligible the rate of propagation of the Virus. The system of the present invention is operable to use electromagnetic radiation to disinfect the exterior surfaces of living mammal animals without harming the animal's tissue, but still effective to degrade microbe and sanitize the exterior surfaces.

Abstract: The tub has a disposable plastic liner configured to the shape of the tub. A pump assembly, having a housing and an electric motor within the housing, drives a drive element. The liner has an opening aligned with the pump assembly, and that opening is sealed around its periphery against the impeller housing of an impeller assembly. The impeller assembly in turn attaches to the pump assembly, preferably in a readily releasable manner such as by the use of magnets. The impeller housing contains an impeller, having a drive shaft which extends through a seal in the rear of the housing and is has a coupling which is engaged by the drive element to rotate the impeller. A cover plate having impeller inlets and outlets attaches to the impeller housing on the tub side of the liner. The entire tub liner and impeller assembly may be removed and disposed of after use.

Abstract: A device and method for increasing the number and type of ions in a hydrotherapy treatment to assist in removing unwanted chemicals from the body. A battery-powered array is submerged into a liquid foot bath to generate ions through electrolysis. The array has at least two electrodes, one containing copper and/or zinc, the other steel. The device can be run in two modes, thereby creating different types of ions and enabling the removal of different types of chemicals. The device uses a current and voltage regulator to deliver a regulated amount of current into the array regardless of the conductivity of the liquid, and electrical circuitry is used to control the duration and mode of the treatment. Excessive heat is dissipated with a heat sink.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a liposome combination, which wrapped hydrophilic drugs in water layer and wrapped hydrophobic drugs in lipid bilayer; hydrophobic drugs are photosensitizers. Using light with appropriate wavelength to activate the photosensitizer in the hydrophobic layer can result in the production of singlet oxygen and the free radical, and cause the oxidizing and breaking of the carbon chain of the phospholipid, and influences the stability of the liposome and the releases of the drug. The singlet oxygen and the free radical will attack the cancer cells at the same time as a result of combining the photodynamic- and chemo-effects.
