Abstract: A showcase with a two-story structure includes a body having an upper story storage chamber with a top opening formed on top thereof and first cold air introduction holes formed on the side surfaces thereof and a lower story storage chamber separately disposed adjacent to the underside of the upper story storage chamber and with a front opening formed on front thereof and second cold air introduction holes formed on the side surfaces thereof; upper doors for opening and closing the top opening of the upper story storage chamber; and drawers for slidingly opening and closing the front opening of the lower story storage chamber.

Abstract: A refrigerator includes a cabinet having a first storage compartment and a second storage compartment, and a cooling module removably mounted to the cabinet. The cooling module includes an evaporator, a condenser, and a compressor. A first cold air duct extends from the first storage compartment and is configured to allow a portion of the cooling module in which the evaporator is arranged, to communicate with the first storage compartment when the cooling module is coupled to the cabinet, and a second cold air duct is different from the first cold air duct and extends from the second storage compartment. The second cold air duct is configured to allow the portion of the cooling module in which the evaporator is arranged, to communicate with the second storage compartment.

Abstract: Disclosed is a refrigerator that facilitates access to each evaporator and improves maintenance performance. In the refrigerator, a different temperature of cold air cooled by each evaporator is brought into each cooling chamber with a different temperature range and different humidity range. The refrigerator includes a main refrigerator body including a machine room and a cooling chamber, an evaporator contained in the machine room, and a cooling unit detachably mounted in the machine room and including a compressor, a condenser, and an insulation member, wherein the cooling unit, while mounted in the machine room, has the insulation member tightly contact an inner wall of the machine room to form an insulation space, and the evaporator is contained in the insulation space.

Abstract: An island merchandiser including a first merchandiser module, a second merchandiser module, a third merchandiser module, and a fourth merchandiser module. The first merchandiser module includes a product display area maintained within a temperature range at or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. The second merchandiser module is positioned next and coupled to the first merchandiser module. The third merchandiser module is positioned next and coupled to the first merchandiser module and the second merchandiser module. The fourth merchandiser module is positioned next to the first merchandiser module and the second merchandiser module opposite the third merchandiser module. The island merchandiser also includes a first insulation panel positioned between the first and second merchandiser modules and the third merchandiser module, and a second insulation panel positioned between the first and second merchandiser modules and the fourth merchandiser module.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved method of constructing a food display case. The construction techniques make use of a crimping tool which stitches together overlapping metal flange portions of the component display panel. The resulting stitched seams permit the rapid assembly of the non-glass structural components. In situ foaming of the spaces between the interior and exterior display walls, floor panels, and top panels, provides a rigid spaced connection between the adjacent panels and provides for the overall rigidity and increased strength of the resulting display case.

Abstract: A kimchi storage device capable of fast fermenting kimchi, and once kimchi has been adequately fermented, of functioning as a cold storage therefor includes a main body provided with a refrigeration unit and a plurality of kimchi storage chambers, a heater and an evaporator installed on inner side walls in each of the kimchi storage chambers, at least one high and one low temperature sensors in each of the kimchi storage chambers and a control unit for controlling the evaporator and the heater in each of the kimchi storage chambers.

Abstract: A modular refrigeration apparatus containing a cabinet with a front opening and divided into lower and upper portions, for separately receiving a plurality of removable modular units, said removable modular units including one of a selected plurality of interchangeable storage units and a universal refrigeration unit. A selected one of the plurality of interchangeable storage units is positioned within the upper portion of the cabinet for storing a plurality of containers. The refrigeration unit is positioned within the lower portion of the cabinet and in communication with the upper portion for cooling the entire interior of the cabinet. The cabinet is designed so that the interchangeable storage units and refrigeration unit can be respectfully removed or inserted from the cabinet without affecting the other units.

The refrigerator has a housing with two openings for one insert each, preferably a basket for holding several flats of eggs in one and a well for holding batter in the other. The opening for the basket is preferably oriented at an angle for easier access to its interior. The housing has an air conditioning unit located below it or located remotely but in fluid communication with the interior of the housing. A fan on the interior circulates the chilled air throughout the housing. The lid for the egg basket has one closed position and two opened positions. To open the basket lid, it can be either rotated on two pins up and back or raised to the horizontal and pushed back into a hollow area at the top of the housing, its two pins sliding in channels formed in the housing.

Abstract: A compact retail display refrigerator for displaying refrigerated food packages maintained at super chilled temperature comprises a small cabinet with a refrigerated upper compartment containing a row array of package guideways formed of a plurality of vertically extending guide pins upstanding from a perforated base support plate. Self acting spring loaded lift devices mounted within the guideways support stacks of food packages therein and urge them upwardly step-by-step to automatically locate the existing topmost package in each stack at a predetermined selection level.

Abstract: A refrigerated display case is provided which includes a framework having a plurality of first panels connected to each other to form a structure having a polygonal cross-section. Each first panel is connected to an adjacent first panel such that an extending portion of the first panel extends beyond its connection point to an adjacent first panel. The framework also includes a plurality of second panels, each second panel being connected at one end to an extending portion of a first panel. The framework defines a plurality of refrigeration compartments. Each compartment includes an information board to provide information relating to the products displayed in the compartments.

Abstract: A refrigerated shelf for a food display counter comprising a sheet of metal having an upper surface for supporting chilled food items and a cooling coil at the underside of the shelf, the coil being adapted for the flow of coolant therethrough for cooling the shelf. Heat transfer means in heat-exchange relation with the coil and the underside of the shelf is provided for effecting a substantially uniform temperature condition throughout the upper surface of the shelf.
