Abstract: An article of jewelry comprises a thin chain necklace surrounding the neck of the wearer. A simple mechanical closure or clasp allows the wearer to don and remove the necklace in a conventional manner. At the bottom of the front of the necklace is a pendant anchor which holds a suspended pendant and, at the same time, the pendant anchor and the pendant, minimize rotation of the necklace and its mechanical closure or clasp to remain behind the neck of the wearer. The pendant anchor is no more than the geometrical thickness of the necklace at its point of attachment and is integrally secured to the descending ends of the front of the neck segments. Preferably, the pendant anchor is in the shape of an “O,” a “W,” a “V,” or a “U.” In some embodiments the pendant anchor is provided with protrusions for further maintaining the suspended pendant on the pendant anchor. In some embodiments, the pendant anchor is welded by small “o” rings to the end links of the chain of the necklace.

Abstract: A fragrant ceramic ornament and accessory with surface sandblasted and carved, includes a body of ornament and accessory, formed by a ceramic body capable of diffusing fragrance, wherein the ceramic body has a surface as an glaze layer or an electroplated layer which has concave pattern by sandblasting carving, wherein the concave pattern is an exposed portion of the ceramic body which loses the glaze layer or the electroplated layer and is concave on the surface of the ceramic body, wherein essential oil is absorbed into an inside of the ceramic body via the exposed portion. The surface carving is by a sandblasting process, which has long fragrance diffusing time and ability to change fragrance according to circumstances, so as to achieve an object of repeatedly using which is economical and environment-friendly, and prevent the perfume from contacting with the skin or clothes directly.

The securement member supports the setting and enables the jewelry item to be worn by the person in the manner in which it is intended. In some embodiments, the setting supports the piece of porous material relative to the securement member such that ambient air may flow between it and the securement member, maximizing the exposed surface area of the porous material. The porous material is a ceramic that contains sintered aluminum oxide and receives a liquid fragrance producing composition such as perfume or cologne. A method for applying the fragrance to the piece of porous material is also provided and includes the step of washing the porous material with a solvent suitable to diffuse the carrier liquid of the fragrance producing composition.

Abstract: A rechargeable article of jewelry dispenses perfumed vapors and has a chamber formed from housing members. The housing members are made of a material which contains the perfumed vapors in the chamber and allows for releasing them into the atmosphere. A nugget of unglazed ceramic material is provided in the chamber and is of a size less than the chamber so that it is free to move inside the chamber and allow air to pass around the nugget. The chamber has apertures therein through which an aromatic liquid, such as perfume, can be deposited on and absorbed by the nugget. The apertures also allow air to circulate around the nugget and generate perfumed vapors which may exit the chamber through the apertures. The nugget is larger than any of the apertures so the nugget is retained in the chamber. A method of making scented jewelry is also provided.
