The ornament may be arranged in an un-assembled configuration, in which the first friction element is un-attached to the shell, and an assembled configuration, in which the first friction element is attached to the shell. The first friction element has a first retaining part, arranged in the cavity when the ornament is in the assembled configuration, and a first friction part attached to the first retaining part and comprising a first gripping surface for frictionally gripping a surface of the elongated member. The ornament, in the assembled configuration, is strung on the elongated member, and is releasably secured in a first location on the elongated member. The first friction part and the first retaining part have different material and/or mechanical properties in the unassembled configuration.

Abstract: A tongue jewelry clip and method for wearing the clip is provided. The tongue jewelry clip includes a substantially thin, narrow, and rigid strip of metal bent to include at least one U-shaped section for wrapping around at least one edge of the tongue. The U-shaped section may be at one or both ends of the strip or in the middle. One or more tongue ornaments may be removably mounted to a first wall of the clip and a fastening assembly through the second wall of the clip member fastens the clip member onto the tongue. The one or more tongue ornaments may be non-pierced or pierced.

Abstract: A clip on protective earring for attachment to a user's ear to protect a sensitive newly formed piercing in the ear lobe. The clip on protective earring includes a pair of body members pivotally coupled together so that inner faces of the body members face each other. The inner faces of the body members are biased towards one another. The inner face of each body member has a concave cupped region with an arcuate pad disposed therein.
