Publication number: 20130219961Abstract: The present invention relates to multi-finger rings, made from silicon, rubber, silicone rubber, or a combination thereof, with variable designs on the top of each ring. Each ring is connected with a small, elastic segment of silicon, rubber, silicone rubber, or a combination thereof. The standard rings will be shaped in a tubular fashion and will be available in various colors. The multi-finger rings may further comprise a rubber plate placed along the tops of the rings, providing a platform for attaching larger or more complex ornaments. Alternatively, the ornaments may be detachably attached to the top of the ring via magnetic connector embedded in the rings. Alternatively, the ornaments may be detachably attached to the top of the ring via “ball and socket” type connector.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 23, 2012Publication date: August 29, 2013Inventors: Chad Michael Silver, Marc Borzykownski

Publication number: 20130074547Abstract: A finger ring capable of holding interchangeable gemstones of different colors. The finger ring comprises a loop made of spring wire shaped to fit around a human finger. The loop comprises first and second end portions that are movable relative to each when the loop is flexed. First and second half-settings are respectively mounted to the first and second end portions. These half-settings are movable between open and closed positions during flexure of the loop. The half-settings in their closed positions form a setting capable of securely holding a gemstone and in their open positions are incapable of securely holding the same gemstone. The disclosed structure that facilitates gem interchangeability can also be incorporated in pendants or earrings.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2012Publication date: March 28, 2013Inventor: Arie Nhaissi

Patent number: 7703302Abstract: A mounting device for hand-worn jewelry in the shape of two open rings joined together at their ends essentially forming an inverted ‘m.’ The mounting device comprises two semicircular arcs joined together to form the bottom of the inverted ‘m’ shape and three vertical stems connected at their lower end to the semi-circular arcs thus forming the legs of the inverted ‘m’. Caps are affixed to the tip of the stems, to allow anchoring of the mounting device to the webbing of the hand and also to provide on their upper surface a mounting and display area for mounting precious stones or for engraving artistic motifs.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2007Date of Patent: April 27, 2010Inventor: Valerie Dussin

Patent number: 7571623Abstract: A magnetic jewelry-forming component for preparing a jewelry article. The article includes a body member configured and dimensioned in an ornamental shape and having a first magnetizable portion for attractive or repulsive magnetic association with at least one other magnetic jewelry-forming component and at least one further element for magnetically coupling to the at least one other magnetic jewelry-forming component. Advantageously, the body member has a magnetic strength that can be overcome by a person's hand strength such that the body member and at least one other magnetic jewelry forming component can be placed in different positions relative to each other.Type: GrantFiled: April 9, 2004Date of Patent: August 11, 2009Inventors: Steven Kretchmer, Joseph Stupak

Patent number: 7357004Abstract: A jewelry article optionally with one or more gemstones, includes one or more hollow core segments with at least one bore in a side wall, and optionally an element interconnected with the one or more of the segments formed by a flexible linkage. A segment may include a setting with rods to receive a gemstone. The segment(s), and optionally the element, are preferably in an annular array to form a ring, necklace and the like and may be of the same or different configurations. The segments also may have different arcuate circumferential lengths and cross sectional shapes preferably frusto-conical and may comprise only a portion of an article such as a finger ring or necklace and the like periphery. The linkage is formed by a pin secured to one segment or element and which pin passes through the bore into the hollow core of the adjacent abutting segment. A coil compression spring is captured to the pin in the hollow core of a segment and urges the adjacent components together.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2004Date of Patent: April 15, 2008Assignee: Harry Winston, Inc.Inventors: Ronald Winston, Matthew Spitaleri

Patent number: 7296438Abstract: A bezel having a lumen open to the top and bottom and a recessed center section is used both to mount a stone to a piece of jewelry and to function as a clasp for the jewelry. The recessed center section of the jewelry can be coupled to a hook to secure the jewelry to the wearer.Type: GrantFiled: December 4, 2003Date of Patent: November 20, 2007Inventor: Ronald W. Kolb

Patent number: 7225639Abstract: An expandable jewelry ring. The ring has a split circular spring made of springy metal and having first and second ends separated by a gap. A tongue portion extends from the first end of the spring and into the gap. A mounting is made of metal and has a generally split circular shape with first and second ends separated by a gap and having a spring channel formed therein. The spring channel has a first portion and a second portion. The spring is positioned in the first portion of the spring channel, with the tongue portion being slideably moveable in the second portion of the spring channel. When pressure from a wearer's finger is exerted on the inside of the mounting, it will expand the effective size of the ring, and when pressure is relieved, the ring will spring back to its original size.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2002Date of Patent: June 5, 2007Assignee: Kobi Katz Inc.Inventor: Callegher Flaviano

Patent number: 7013674Abstract: A jewelry-forming component composing a body member having a first magnetized portion and a female element associated therewith for magnetically attracting and receiving a male element of another jewelry-forming component. The first magnetized portion of the body member provides a minimum magnetic strength that is sufficient to retain the male element within the female element and a maximum magnetic strength that can be overcome by a person's hand strength to separate the male and female elements. The female element defines a cavity having a depth sufficient to receive the male element at different positions therein, and this allows relative movement of the male and female elements to assist in providing the self-sizing nature of the article. The body member also includes a further element that is magnetically responsive for magnetically coupling with another jewelry-forming component, such that a plurality of such components can be magnetically coupled to form an article of jewelry.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 2003Date of Patent: March 21, 2006Inventor: Steven Kretchmer

Publication number: 20030177787Abstract: An adjustable circumference finger ring, the finger ring of which is comprised of two semicircular members and a flexile linkage structure that couples one extremity of the two semicircular members such that the two semicircular members can be spread apart and the finger ring worn and removed without passing over the finger joint of the user. The two semicircular members have a circumference adjustment structure disposed at their opposite extremities that enables the two semicircular members to be structured into a into a rigid circular arrangement and, furthermore, allows for the circumferential adjustment of the finger ring as required to accommodate the finger diameter of the wearer.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 25, 2002Publication date: September 25, 2003Inventor: Li-Sheng Kuo
