Abstract: In one aspect of the disclosure, a knitted component may have a medial part, a lateral part, a forefoot region, a midfoot region, and a rearfoot region. The rearfoot region may include a first zone having a first level of stretch and extending from a lower region of one of the medial part and the lateral part toward an upper heel region. The first zone may have an elongate portion. The knitted component may include a second zone adjacent the first zone and having a second level of stretch greater than the first level of stretch. The second zone may extend into the medial part and the lateral part and may substantially cover a calcaneus region.

Abstract: A Sock Having Continuous Storage Chamber includes a sock body and a chamber material that together form a circumferential storage chamber. The circumferential chamber is formed with an aperture sized to receive a zipper base with a zipper having a zipper pull to open and close the zipper to provide access to the chamber. The chamber material may include a mesh allowing air to pass through the mesh to ventilate the chamber and allow, depending on use, the scent of a dog treat to pass therethrough.

Abstract: A dynamic ventilation system for socks including an ergonomic and asymmetric strip structure (3) which contains the plantar arch so as to create internally an integrated aerating sector (4). Further, the system has a first structure with a transparent zone in which an air circulating system is created that is provided for regulating the temperature of the foot and leg, containing a certain quantity of air between skin and sock so as to create an “air chamber” with an effect of insulating from the external environment and a second structure having a plurality of contact sectors (5) that have greater support on the skin that are interrupted by free portions (6) for the passage of air. The system further includes a pair of ribs (11) that create a passage/tunnel for circulating air in addition to increasing Achilles tendon protection in which each rib is a cushion that fills with air.

Abstract: A seamless compression article is knitted on a flatbed knitting machine having a front needle bed and a rear needle bed opposite thereto. The compression article includes a base structure of at least one weft thread, at least one elastic warp thread inserted or knitted therein, and at least one tubular or pocket-like receptacle extending along a longitudinal direction for at least one finger or at least one toe of a wearer of the compression article and can be placed on a body extremity of the wearer extending in the longitudinal direction. The receptacle includes a number of rib-like elevations, which run substantially parallel to each other and along the longitudinal direction of the corresponding receptacle. Putting on the compression article can thereby be facilitated.

Abstract: Present aspects are directed to a ribbed structure of a knit sleeve that may provide ventilation, color-reveal qualities, curvature of a tailored sleeve shape, increased range of motion, and additional functional stability of the knit sleeve. Rib zones may be located along the knit sleeve so that various ribbing and venting components of each rib zone are automatically oriented near a particular portion of a wearer's arm. The rib zones may comprise a plurality of knitted ribs and a plurality of knitted vents, wherein the plurality of knitted vents are configured to move from a closed position to an open position in response to expansion and contraction of the plurality of knitted ribs.

Abstract: Present aspects are directed to a knit sleeve that provides for a left-arm wearing or right-arm wearing assembly location for each knit sleeve, as coupled to a garment body, as well as a convergence between knitted features on front and back body extensions as mated to the upper arm of the sleeve. A knit sleeve convergence pattern for an underarm portion of a knit sleeve comprises a plurality of knitted ribs and a convergence point comprising a central location between the plurality of knitted ribs.

Abstract: A therapeutic medical garment including a knitted welt proximate one end thereof with a surface adapted for residing against the wearer's skin. The garment includes a ground yarn and a plurality of raised, skin-engaging stabilizer elements, such as elongate bars extending in spaced-apart relation around an inner surface of the welt and along a longitudinal axis of the garment to reduce a tendency of the welt to roll over on itself.

Abstract: A sock includes an air escape route that allows humid air to be expelled to the outside of a shoe. The sock may include a first rib area provided in a ground-touching area of a sole portion of the sock, the ribs being formed in a desired direction. A second rib area, in which ribs are formed in a wale direction, may also be provided in an instep portion of the sock. The ribs of the first and second rib areas may be knitted with alternating knitted pile and knitted mesh fabric. Humid air collecting in areas that do not touch the ground passes through the concave portions of the ribs of the first rib area, and is impelled toward the instep side. Air flowing to the instep side of the sock via the first rib area is expelled to the outside of the shoe via the second rib area.

Abstract: A girdle for tights or pantyhose, in which the regions that constitute the panty and the initial portions of the stretch hose are constituted by a tuck-stitch mesh, formed starting from a plain background mesh so as to obtain, by combining and knitting in three dimensions particular conventional threads and elastic threads which are conveniently woven together, a mesh having alternating undulations which are considerably in relief with respect to the plain mesh, such as to generate an adequate compression and thus a massaging and tonic action in the regions of the body contained in the girdle.

Abstract: A double layer sock that has a tubular inner ply having a foot portion and a leg portion merging substantially at the ankle of a wearer. A tubular outer ply surrounds the inner ply and has a foot and a leg portion merging substantially at the ankle of the wearer and aligned with the foot and leg portions of the inner ply. The plies are joined adjacent a top opening in the leg portion and arranged to receive a wearer's foot. A seam joins the plies and is located substantially adjacent the merging of the foot and leg portions to maintain proper alignment of the foot portions of the two plies. Methods of making a two ply sock are also disclosed. Preferably, the seam connecting the plies is knit such that the plies maintain proper alignment with one another.

Abstract: A hosiery article having a tubular upper leg portion, a lower foot portion, and a lower band interposed between the upper and lower portions. The lower band is operative to maintain the position of the upper portion relative to the mouth of a shoe. In this way, the band allows the upper portion of the hosiery article to be compressed without allowing the upper portion to enter the shoe. Preferably, the lower band protrudes outwardly. Additionally, an upper band is provided at the upper end of the upper portion to maintain the upper portion in a compressed position.The upper leg portion is formed with a plurality of wide, crinkled ribs therein, providing a unique and desirable appearance.

Abstract: A casual/dress sport sock having a leg-covering portion and a foot-covering portion wherein the knitting stitch pattern of the sock is reversed in the medial area of the leg-covering portion. Thus, the casual/dress sport sock in its extended position comprises a right side out foot-covering portion, a right side out lower area of the leg-covering portion, and a wrong side out upper area of the leg-covering portion. When cuffed, the sock comprises a uniform aesthetic knitting stitch pattern wherein the cuff portion, the lower area of the leg-covering and the foot-covering portion of the sock are all presented in right side out condition when worn on the foot.
