    Abstract: An automated unspooling mechanism capable of dispensing of knitting material strands in a dynamically-controlled tension on a knitting machine. An unspooling device is configured to sense the tension of a strand fed to the knitting machine, and responsively adjust the strand deployment speed to avoid too little or too much strand dispensing without interrupting the knitting process. The unspooling device includes a variable motor drive that can rotate the strand package in various speeds, and a spring arm trigger that can sense the current tension of the dispensed material. The spring arm trigger can vary its arm position based on the sensed tension. The arm position is then processed and converted to a signal to vary the motor speed. Therefore, the deployment speed of the strands can be dynamically controlled based on a sensed tension of feeding the strand.

    Abstract: A yarn tension control device of knitting machines is revealed. A plurality of yarn tension control devices is disposed on a knitting machine for control of warp yarns while weaving the warp yarns to produce fabrics. The warp yarns can be metal yarns. The metal yarns on a yarn disc are passed through a guide holder, bars for drop wires, and drop wires and then entered steel healds and reeds. Thus a constant yarn tension over the warp yarns is ensured by the yarn tension control devices during a weaving process of weft yarns. The tension of the metal yarns is the same with the tension of textile yarns. Thereby a stable yarn tension over the warp yarns gives uniform fabric appearance.

    Abstract: A yarn feed gearbox control system for controlling the let-off speed of a yarn feed gearbox. The control system may be further provided with a main shaft detector to measure the speed of rotation of the main shaft of the knitting machine. The control system may also be provided with a beam revolution detector to generate a revolution signal corresponding to each revolution of the yarn beam.

The control equipment regulates the r.p.m. of the sectional warp beams in dependence upon these control signals in the sense of keeping constant the predetermined length of any given warp thread advance. The invention is particularly useful for weaving off sectional warp beams having different winding diameters for assuring a homogeneous appearance of the weave across its entire width.

The limit switch has open and closed positions adapted for controlling operation of the knitting machine. When the switch is closed the knitting machine is operable.

    Abstract: A measuring arrangement for a machine winding arrangement can determine a process variable related to the length of a wound-up or let-off material. A rotational angle signal is extracted from a rotatable winding carrier. In addition this angle signal can also contain information concerning the direction of rotation of the winding arrangement. The process variable is then calculated from this turning angle signal and calculation data, by means of a computer. The calculation data, transmitted from an input device, include at least values which are concerned with the diameter of the winding and thickness of the winding layer. The computer can contemporaneously be utilized to calculate the desired amount of rotation of a beam motor from: the process variable, a setting amount from the input device and a main shaft signal indicating rotation of the main shaft of the winding arrangement. The arrangement is particularly suited for the winding up or letting off of thread of a textile machine.
