Multiple-needle Bank Patents (Class 66/88)
  • Patent number: 11879190
Abstract: The invention relates to a plush pile knitted product and a knitting machine for the production thereof. Said knitted product comprises knitting threads (9), weft threads (10, 11), and front (14) and rear (12) plush threads, whereas the rear plush threads (12) are cut off at given intervals (a) to form plush pile on the front surface of the product. Said knitting machine comprises a housing (26). On the housing (26), over the entire length of the machine multiple closing safety plates (23) that can move vertically, and push plates (22) for pressing the weft threads (10 and 11) are mounted. Each rear plush plate (8) comprises a cutting disc (27) to cut the rear plush threads (12). Each of the threads (9,14,10,11,12) is fed in using a separate step motor (25).

  • Patent number: 11751887
Abstract: In one embodiment, a targeting guide is formed by aligning an axis of a cutting instrument with a bone-anchor fixation hole of an intramedullary nail. The cutting instrument is inserted through the bone-anchor fixation hole such that the cutting instrument is in contact with a guide body of a targeting guide, where the targeting guide is supported relative to the intramedullary nail such that the guide body is spaced outwardly from at least a portion of the intramedullary nail along a radial direction. The cutting instrument is then driven through the guide body so as to form an alignment aperture in the targeting guide. The alignment aperture has a central axis that is aligned with the bone-anchor fixation hole.

Abstract: An instrument (10, 100) for locating an axis of a blocking screw is disclosed. The instrument (10, 100) is applicable for a retrograde installation of a femoral intramedullary device or an antegrade installation of a tibial intramedullary device. The instrument (10, 100) includes a drill jig (11, 105) with a radiolucent frame portion (14, 120) and a mounting portion (12, 110). The mounting portion (12, 110) is adapted to connect to an intramedullary device (204), and the frame portion (14, 120) has at least one aperture (18, 22, 24, 25, 28, 29, 126, 137, 337) for locating the axis of the blocking screw (210). The drill jig (11, 105) is adjustable to locate the aperture (18, 22, 24, 25, 28, 29, 126, 137, 337) in a longitudinal or rotational direction relative to the intramedullary device (204).

  • Patent number: 4779429
Abstract: This section element has a cross-sectional shape with reentrant or inside angles and/or concave parts or a hollow polygonal or other shape. A plurality of parallel threads are held taut and maintained in the longitudinal direction of the section element in a configuration which corresponds to the cross-sectional shape of the desired section element. These longitudinal threads are progressively displaced continuously in front of a group of knitting heads knitting in two dimensions which are orthogonal and perpendicular to said longitudinal threads. Each knitting head comprises a plurality of series of needles I, L1, L2, LA, A1 and A1' each of which covers a specific portion of the cross section of the section element.

  • Patent number: 4631931
Abstract: The machine is of the type comprising rods defining the volume of the section element and extending in the longitudinal direction of the latter and a knitting head depositing threads around the rods in a direction perpendicular to the latter. The rods are thin hollow rods (12). A die (9) maintains the hollow rods in a fixed position parallel to each other in a configuration which corresponds to the cross-sectional shape of the desired section element. Feed devices (7, 8) feed the longitudinal threads of the section element through the hollow rods (12). A device (15) is provided for retaining one end (12a) of the threads issuing from the rods in an identical configuration. Two knitting heads (16, 17) of known type deposit threads in two planes which are orthogonal and perpendicular to the rods (12) in the vicinity of the ends of the latter. Devices (15, 5) are provided for continuously displacing the threads issuing from the rods as the threads are deposited by the knitting heads.

  • Patent number: 4302953
Abstract: A right-right warp knitting machine capable of providing pile fabrics such as velour includes two needle beds, each needle bed producing one fabric panel, utilizes one guide bar supplying a ground thread and at least a second guide bar for providing a pile thread. The panels may be connected together by a common thread which is cut after the completion of the fabric panels thereby forming two separate independent fabric panels having at least one velour surface.

  • Patent number: 4161109
Abstract: A latchguard member is mounted on a rib needle bar assembly of a straight bar knitting machine of the Cotton's Patent type. The rib needles have latches which are pivotable between an open and closed attitude and the latchguard member is actuated to lie over the tips of the latches in the open attitude and to withdraw below the latches to permit them to close as the old loops are landed on the latches. In a preferred embodiment the actuating means for the latchguard member are arranged to superimpose a differential latchguard member and rib needle bar movement over their joint movement imparted by a needle bar actuating means.
