Oscillatory Or Rotary On Vertical Axis Patents (Class 68/132)
  • Patent number: 12146253
Abstract: A laundry treating apparatus include a tub, a water supply, a drum, and a rotator including a bottom portion positioned on a bottom surface of the drum, and a pillar protruding upward from the bottom portion, and a blade disposed on an outer circumferential surface of the pillar. The controller controls a driver such that the rotator performs a distribution motion after a water supply process and a washing motion after the distribution motion. An amount of rotation of the rotator in the distribution motion is less than an amount of rotation of the rotator in the washing motion. A driving load of the driver is reduced by reducing a moment of inertia acting on the rotator by separating laundry from the rotator. With the reduced driving load, the driver may be easily controlled, and a water flow for washing may be efficiently formed.

Abstract: Auxiliary washing device in a washing machine comprises a beam mounted on an upper side of an outer tub and extended to an inner space of a washing tub, and a washing bar supported at an extended end of the beam to be capable of swinging. The washing bar is swung upwardly by a motor and downwardly by a torsion spring. When electric power to the motor is stopped at the position in which the washing bar is swung upwardly by the motor, the washing bar swings downwardly by the torsion of the torsion bar to strike laundry in the washing tub. Thus, washing is enhanced by the impact to the laundry, and the laundry is stirred upwardly and downwardly. Therefore, inefficiency in the upper part of the washing tub due to the washing operation only by pulsator is prevented, and washing of all clothes is enhanced.

Abstract: An agitator is capable of efficiently agitating clothing without damaging fibers of the clothing. The agitator includes an agitating section having agitating pieces, which are capable of agitating clothes, or any other medium, and a driving mechanism for moving the agitating section. The driving mechanism moves the agitating section in a plane such that each agitating piece moves in a substantially identically shaped path.

  • Patent number: 5527255
Abstract: An apparatus and a method of preparing stacks of individual wet, dripless disposable towels ready for sealed packing. The apparatus includes a creel for rollably supporting a plurality of continuous rolls of disposable towel stock material formed of non-woven cotton cloth and the like. The apparatus in step sequence includes a guide for merging each length of towel stock material together and edgewise aligned after being drawn from each roll to form a web. The web is then drawn through a flood box whereinto a suitable washing and/or dermicidal liquid is pumped to completely saturate the web to produce a liquid saturated web portion. A squeeze roller arrangement positioned immediately adjacent the flood box removes some of the liquid from the saturated wet portion to produce a wet, dripless web portion which uniformly contains a preselected liquid content, depending upon preselected tensioning of the rollers. A collecting tank positioned below the flood box and the squeeze rollers collects excess liquid.
