Abstract: A treatment agent metering information evaluator of a washing machine includes a reader that reads portion-wise metering information from an information carrier of a storage container that is in close proximity to the reader, a controller that receives the portion-wise metering information from the reader, a meter that meters portions of treatment agent from the storage container into a treatment process of a washing treatment program, and storage that stores empirical information about experiences of the use of the treatment agent during the treatment process for subsequent application of the treatment agent. The reader includes a transmitter for transmitting the empirical information.

Abstract: A washing machine is disclosed. A washing machine includes a case, a tub mounted in the case to hold wash water, a hanger provided in a front upper portion of the tub to hang laundry thereon, and a driving unit to reciprocate the hanger with the laundry in a predetermined direction within the tub. According to the washing machine mentioned above, the laundry is washed only by using the reciprocating motion. As a result, the laundry may not be entangled and fabric of the laundry may not damage.

Abstract: A sensor for determining the level of the liquid in the lye container for removing foam in the lye container of a drum washing machine with a lye discharge system arranged on the floor of the lye container with a lye pump during a program step, which is provided for dehydrating the lye container. Its sensor signal P is recorded during operation of the lye pump. According to the present invention the sequence p/t of the sensor signal contains a component ?p/?t, whereof the presence indicates the presence of foam in the measuring region. Further, in the presence of the component a foam treatment measure suiting the type of component is introduced.
