The dog paw washing and rinsing device includes a first chamber which includes at least one sidewall rising from a base to an open top edge. A second chamber which includes at least one sidewall rising from a base to an open top edge. The first chamber is coupled to the second chamber such that the first chamber is adjacent to the second chamber. A handle is attached to both the first chamber and the second chamber. A cleaning pad is located within the first chamber. The cleaning pad is placed at an angle as compared to the base of the first chamber.

Abstract: A hopper for a laundry machine of the type having a rotating drum includes front, lower, and side walls which cooperatively define a structure having closed bottom and side surfaces, an open rear surface for being disposed in communication with the interior of the drum, and an upper hopper opening for receiving therethrough items for introduction into the drum. A splash shutter is disposed above the hopper opening. The shutter is movable between an open position wherein the hopper opening is exposed for receiving items therethrough, and a closed position wherein the hopper opening is covered for retaining the contents of the laundry machine.

Abstract: Drum type washing machine including a tub fitted in a cabinet, and a pair of drums fitted in the tub to be rotatable in opposite directions, thereby permitting to obtain an excellent washing effect as an enfire surface of laundry is made to make uniform friction with the inner drum and the outer drum, and to prevent entangling of the laundry as the laundry is washing during the laundry back and forth the inner drum and the outer drum, alternately.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for the washing of items of laundry (11), in which only the items of laundry (11) are transferred from the last washing chamber (18) into the first rinsing chamber (19), without the washing liquid. As a result, the washing liquid cannot pass into the rinsing zone (15), and the method according to the invention thus prevents mixing of different treatment liquids. As a result, an effective treatment of the items of laundry (11), in particular a more effective rinsing thereof, is possible.

Abstract: A method to treat laundry items in the last treatment zone of a tunnel washing machine with a liquid that has a higher temperature than the liquid of the preceding zone, resulting in the liquid of the bound liquor having a higher temperature and making it possible to remove a greater portion of the bound liquor form the laundry items in a hydroextraction press, so that the laundry items leaving the hydroextraction press have only a slight residual moisture which is still has to be removed by drying, thus shortening the drying process and requiring less energy.

Abstract: A laundry appliance comprises a drum for receiving articles to be laundered, the drum comprising at least two rotatable drum portions and a drive capable of operating the drum in a plurality of different drum modes. The drum modes include a mode in which the rotatable drum portions are driven so as to cause relative rotation between them. A controller (100) controls the appliance to perform a plurality of different wash programmes, each wash programme having an associated drum mode. Each wash programme comprises a sequence of stages, with a drum mode being associated with each stage. The drum modes can differ in respect of (a) use (or non-use) of relative rotation between the drum portions (b) the ratio of time that the drum portions rotate compared to the time that they are at rest, and (c) the speed at which the drum portions are rotated. The intensity of a wash programme can be varied, inter alia, by varying the length of the wash stage.

Abstract: A scoop-up portion of scoop means is of a flat plate shape so that water is drained by letting a wash rest on the scoop portion during the transferring operation. The wash is scooped surely in raise/drop washing so that the wash is not caught between the inner peripheral surface and one edge of the scoop-up portion. Also, an auxiliary plate is installed on the back surface of transfer portion of the scoop means to prevent the wash from dropping into the preceding vessel in raise/drop washing. Thus, the crumple washing and beat washing are performed efficiently, and cleanliness is improved.

Abstract: A washing machine has a generally cylindrical drum extending along and centered on a horizontal drum axis and a helicoidal auger-like wall centered on an auger axis offset radially from and extending substantially parallel to the drum axis. At least one longitudinally extending rib on an inner surface of the drum is relatively closely spaced to a plane including the drum and auger axes and the rest of the drum inner surface is substantially free of such ribs. This construction allows the machine to operate with substantially higher capacity. During washing oscillation the ribs are lowermost and a much larger load can be accommodated since the drum axis lies between tbe auger axis and the ribs. Normally two such ribs are provided on the drum inner surface closely flanking the plane.

Abstract: In a batch washing machine which is divided by a screw conveyor into a plurality of wash chambers (I. . .IV) a bath level reduction can be provided in the final wash chamber by perforating the screw conveyor (and/or the wash trommel) in a region overlapping the reversing angle of 300.degree. for the wash motion of the wash trommel. One rotates the wash trommel as the need requires in the vicinity of the perforations. Water can escape in the desired amount in the final chamber in the sector with the perforations according to the extent of the rotation.
