The displacement of the reservoir inside the container is simply crosswise in a rectilinear or oscillating fashion, or else is a motion made up of both types of motion, and the speed of the reservoir is fixed, or else variable in time.

The firing portion includes a firing cylinder and a firing piston. The firing piston is capable of performing compression strokes and expansion strokes within the firing cylinder. The firing cylinder forms a chamber in which fluid is drawn during an expansion stroke. A high-pressure actuation device drives the firing piston during the compression stroke to expel a high-pressure jet of fluid from the egress channel. If an injector device is held proximate to flesh, the jet of fluid has sufficient pressure to hypodermically inject the fluid without a needle. The inlet portion, outlet portion, and firing portion of the pump can be rearranged on the manifold to conform to the design requirements for a variety of slap injectors.

In one embodiment, the strand is recirculated through a series of drums in sequence and through a pipe extending through the central openings in the drum from the last to the first of the series.

    Abstract: A method and means for multi-color dyeing textile yarn wherein yarn is present in perforate cylindrical cans for dyeing, with the yarn being in a maze of tortuously extending coils progressing axially within the can as occurs when yarn is collected in an upright can from a crimping or bulking operation. The cans are first positioned on movable J-shaped cradles with their cylindrical axes horizontal and are then immersed sequentially in a plurality of dye baths in which the cans are only partially immersed. Between immersions in sequential dye baths the cans are reoriented by rotating them about their cylindrical horizontal axes to cause dyeing of at least partially different portions of the maze of yarn in the cans in the different dye baths so that the resulting yarn strand, which extends randomly in the maze throughout differently dyed portions, will be unpredictably randomly dyed in different colors and lengths of color.
