    Abstract: A washing apparatus includes a housing and a plunge basket. The housing has a sidewall, a closed lower end and an open upper end, defining an internal cavity connected to the open upper end. The housing further has a surface defining a mating forming on the sidewall. The plunge basket is received through the open upper end and within the cavity, and includes a sidewall, a lower perforated surface and an open upper end, defining a compartment to receive clothing therein, a perforated lid removably connected to the open upper end, and a handle having a gripping portion and a rod extending therefrom, connected to the sidewall, and a reciprocal mating formation configured and arranged to cooperate with the mating formation on the housing to guide the plunge basket within the internal cavity of the housing.

    Abstract: The present invention employs an arrangement of multiple containers for marinating food. The container arrangement includes an inner container having a bottom wall and side walls which define a food holding chamber. A plurality of apertures are provided in the bottom wall of the inner container for marinade to passage. The inner container further has a noncircular cross sectional configuration defining a plurality of bottom corners. An outer container similarly has a bottom wall and side walls defining a marinade holding chamber for holding a given level of marinade. The outer container is configured in to accept the inner container. Alternatively, the side walls support the inner container in an elevated position on rotation thereof relative to the outer containers.

    Abstract: Impregnating equipment includes a centrifuge, a tank which can be exhausted and into which an impregnating compound can be introduced, and means for attaching at an upper part of the tank a mounting for a centrifugal basket, said mounting comprising a single self-aligning or swing bearing which is supported by a support which can be locked by means of an expanding device to the upper rim of the tank. The expanding device preferably consists of three radial arms which can be retracted and extended and the ends of which are in the form of jaws, the rim of the tank consisting of a ring the radially inwardly-directed cross-section of which has a shape mating with the shape of the jaws.
