Abstract: A continuous dyeing device and related processes using indigo and/or other colorants for warp yarn chains and/or for fabrics, equipped with at least a first and a second dyeing compartments containing dyeing baths, the first and second dyeing compartments being enclosed, at least partially, in a hermetically sealed chamber. The device also includes at least one squeezing element interposed between the two dyeing compartments and a plurality of cylinders for heating and/or dehydrating the yarn and or the fabric, thereby increasing the diffusion and the absorption of the colorant. The cylinders are positioned downstream of the first dyeing compartment and squeezing element.
Abstract: Dying or bleaching apparatus for yarn wound on reels or similar packages, comprising a dying boiler (15) having an annular section suitable for receiving a single circular load of mobile reel holder shafts (13) which can be removed at the same time for the subsequent water draining and drying operations, operating with less liquid and also capable of being used with fractional capacities with a constant soaking ratio.
Abstract: An apparatus for tipping surgical sutures includes a drum around which the suture is wound. The drum is placed on a carriage which moves the drum into a chamber wherein selected portions of the suture are passed through a mist of cyanoacrylate tipping agent generated by ultrasonic atomization. The tipping agent quickly cures and the tipped portion of the suture may be cut to create a tipped end for insertion into a surgical needle to form a needle-suture device.

Abstract: A machine is provided for the liquid or gaseous treatment of textile or other materials having a material carrier and comprising, in a lower part thereof, a false bottom in which is formed a housing adapted to receive a heat exchanger, the false bottom defining a space or compartment with the bottom of the machine. A pipe having a vertical axis is mounted at the base of the machine, substantially in the axis of the latter. The space may be either isolated from the rest of the machine, or placed in communication with the upper part thereof through external or internal ducts, and inert bodies may be provided in the machine.

Abstract: This invention provides for a process for the wet treatment of textiles in which in a pressure-tight high-temperature resistant container the liquor always flows outwardly laterally at an angle from vertical through the inside of the textile material, flows down on the outside of the textile material to a sump situated beneath the latter and is pumped back from the sump into the interior of the textile material. Thus the material during the process is not immersed in the liquor and the influence of the high pressures and temperatures conventionally applied upon the textiles in their wet treatment is avoided and a lower liquid to textile ratio is employed.
