Foam Treatment Patents (Class 68/900)
  • Patent number: 12036766
Abstract: A multilayer foam panel member including: (a) at least one top sheet substrate; (b) at least one bottom sheet substrate; and (c) a middle substrate of foam material disposed inbetween, and integral with, the top and bottom sheet substrates; wherein the foam material is produced by dispensing a reactive foam-forming fluid mixture onto a moving or stationary bottom sheet substrate of a foam manufacturing line; and wherein the foam manufacturing line includes a flexible film fluid dispensing device for dispensing the reactive foam-forming fluid mixture onto the moving or stationary bottom sheet substrate to form a multilayer foam panel member; wherein the middle substrate of foam material of the panel member has improved thermal and mechanical properties; and a process for manufacturing the above multilayer foam panel member.

  • Patent number: 8512805
Abstract: A method for dispensing a foamed material onto a substrate surface, including: generating a relative movement between a substrate surface and a material dispensing apparatus exit opening, mixing at least two material components in a mixing device, generating a pressure differential between the mixing device and a dispensing region, conveying the dispensing material from the mixing device to the exit opening, and discharging the dispensing material from the exit opening onto the substrate surface.

  • Patent number: 8241708
Abstract: Metal and/or silicon oxides are produced by hydrolysis of alkoxide precursors in the presence of either an acid catalyst or a base catalyst in a supercritical fluid solution. The solubility of the acid catalysts in the supercritical fluid can be increased by complexing the catalyst with a Lewis base that is soluble in the supercritical fluid. The solubility of the base catalysts in the supercritical fluid can be increased by complexing the catalyst with a Lewis acid that is soluble in the supercritical fluid. The solubility of water in the solution is increased by the interaction with the acid or base catalyst.

  • Patent number: 6797319
Abstract: A method for applying a foam composition to a paper web is provided. Specifically, a foam applicator is positioned adjacent to a surface of the web. The foam applicator defines an extrusion slot through which the foam composition is capable of flowing. In one embodiment, the extrusion slot is in communication with an air channel. The foam composition is optionally entrained with an air stream traveling through the air channel. The foam composition contacts at least one liquid-permeable partition (e.g., wire-mesh screen) to fragment gaseous bubbles contained therein.

  • Patent number: 5277041
Abstract: Described is a drain board (100) for a device for applying a liquid film to a web (8) of textile material. The drain board (100) comprises a support (1), on which a strip (10), which constitutes the draining surface (A) and is made of planar material is held flat, for example by magnets (3), by means of a vacuum or by a contact adhesive. The liquid is poured out at point (4) on to the draining surface (A); it flows down and falls off the lower edge (6) of the strip (10) in a falling film (7) or veil on to the fabric web (8). As a result of the magnetic retention, the strip cannot be replaced (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 5165261
Abstract: A jet applicator for a multi-color type foam dyeing machine is disclosed. The applicator provides multi-color foams with a constant gap and uniform state between the color foam dyes for dyeing woven stuff. For forming the foam dyes in a wavy pattern, the applicator comprises foam discharging tubes inserted in holes formed on a lower portion of a rectangular type frame member, an inclined plate and a cylindrical roll provided beneath the frame member, and guide blades fixedly disposed to a movable traversing rod. Therefore, the woven stuff supplied at a constant rate can be dyed over a wide range of various colorful patterns and designs.
