Roller Feed Patents (Class 69/13)
  • Patent number: 10612103
Abstract: A method of preparing recycling leather sheets comprise: pre-processing where leather wastes are neutralized and fatliquoring agents are adhered; separating leather fibers from the leather wastes that has undergone the pre-processing; mixing the separated leather fibers with fibers for improving a tensile strength of the separated leather fibers; and forming sheets by combining the mixed leather fibers and raw fabrics for floor. The method of preparing recycling leather sheets in the present invention may reduce environmental pollution by preparing recycling leather sheets through physical combination without using adhesives.

  • Patent number: 6553886
Abstract: A hide splitting machine according to the invention has two pivot arms, mounted on modified journals at each end of a rubber roller, that are connected to two ring roller swivel arms attached to each end of the ring roller. The ring roller swivel arms connected to the pivot arms allow constant radial distance movement of the ring roller along the circumference of the rubber roller. Therefore, the ring roller can be retracted or moved away automatically, without possibility of mechanical damage, from the razor sharp band knife and ring jaw insert edge. The automatic retraction of the ring roller a preset distance allows splitting machine operators to easily access the ring jaw insert for safe, quick and efficient manual cleaning of the ring jaw insert edge. The automatic retraction of the ring roller further eliminates physical handling and/or manual removal of the ring roller from the splitting machine during the ring jaw insert edge cleaning process.

  • Patent number: 4444028
Abstract: The machine for splitting skins through their thickness to obtain two sheets, of which one is a flower sheet on the hairy side and the other a crust sheet on the flesh side, comprises the already known elements of annular endless band blade tensioned between continuously running wheels and upper and lower feed rollers, with the characteristic that the edge of the cutting blade at the cutting location always remains fixed in the same transverse position, except for takeup of wear due to cutting and sharpening, whereas the upper and lower feed rollers are displaced in the direction perpendicular to the blade and in the direction parallel to same, in order to adopt the correct positions for obtaining the desired thicknesses of said two parts of the skin, respecting the optimum conditions for removing the parts themselves from the cutting complex.

  • Patent number: 4417458
Abstract: In a patterned matrix for use in conjunction with the skiving of shoe parts upon a splitter machine, the pattern matrix being applied contiguous with the intended shoe part for application to the machine, the pattern matrix including along its edge a relief or raised portion that urges the aligned edges of the shoe part into a greater skiving out than any other portion of the shoe part, and another relief being of greater density, comprising a cord, arranged within the first relief or raised portion and effecting during skiving a deeper cut into the intended shoe part to assure a uniformly weakened area for forming the fold line for the shoe part when being fabricated into a shoe component. A pair of patterned matrixes may be adhered together, as through a pressure sensitive material, with the relief member therebetween, for allowing usage of the patterned matrix for forming skived edges upon shoe parts of reverse proportions, as where each may be constructed into a pair of shoes.

  • Patent number: 4253318
Abstract: The present invention concerns a machine for clipping or trimming hides or skins of the type comprising cylinders with blades or the like for the calibration of hides, leather or the like skins, said machine being provided with devices of substantially electromechanical type for permitting continuous and automatic compensation of the wear on the blades during the process as well as for the necessary increases of thickness in the end portions of the hides under preparation, ensuring uniform calibration of the hides in conformity with the predetermined initial thickness values.

  • Patent number: 4210051
Abstract: A band knife splitting machine with two superposed feed rolls and an endless moving band knife. The two feed rolls are respectively journalled at the ends of two intersecting pivoting levers and the end of the lever for the lower feed roll is pivoted above the plane of cutting while the end of the lever for the upper feed roll is pivoted below the cutting plane.
