Abstract: A multiple function lock comprising an engaging element and a captive element. The engaging element enters a captive space provided in the captive element for locking the lock. The captive element includes a selectable passage into the captive space for permitting the engagement element to be selectively released or secured. The selectable passage is revealed or concealed through translation or rotation of a blocking element. In certain embodiments, the multiple function lock comprises a body, a shackle having toe and heel portions, a first locking mechanism for securing the heel portion to the body and a separate second locking mechanism for securing the toe portion to the body. The second locking mechanism is operative to engage and disengage the toe portion from the body so the shackle may rotate about the heel portion secured by the body.

Abstract: A dual padlock of the present invention includes a housing, a shackle, a locking device, a locking spring, a transmission device, a key lock assembly, a code lock assembly, and a button member. The shackle is openably provided on the housing. The locking device is received in the chamber of the housing and engaged with the shackle. The key lock assembly includes a key cylinder connected to the transmission device and the locking device. The button member is connected to a shaft of the code lock assembly and the lock device. Therefore, user may insert a key into the key lock assembly and turns to unlock the padlock. User also may input the right code to the code lock assembly that will unlock the pad lock too.

Abstract: The present invention is in related to a strap lock with both functions of combination code setting and key operation and comprises a lock body being unlocked or locked and a buckle being hasped or separated from the lock body when the lock body being unlocked, the buckle and the lock body are connected each other via a binder so as to that a baggage being bound and buckled; the lock body has a combination locking mechanism and a key device simultaneously, thus the officer for security checking can use a special key to unlock the lock body via the key device, and the lock body can be unlocked without damaging. Besides, the lock body further has an indicator, which can be shifted to a different position after the lock body is unlocked by the key. Thus, the owner of the baggage know whether the baggage being opened or not by means of the displaying position of the indicator.

Abstract: A lock for luggage, sports gear or any type of travel enclosure which can be operated by a key, combination or both, which has more than one shackle. The lock has one shackle that secures the lock to the luggage or luggage handle while the other shackle secures the luggage closure or zipper. An addition shackle is provided for the purpose of re-closing the luggage after the luggage is inspected by an international airport security agent. If the luggage is inspected, the inspector simply cuts the zipper shackle and re-secures the luggage using the additional or third shackle. A disposable shackle system allows the customer to replace the cut shackle and return the lock to its original condition for reuse.

In addition, the locking mechanism includes a key lock unit disposed in the housing and a movable unit movably disposed in the housing. The key lock unit is configured to control movement of the limit knob and defines a key hole to receive a key.

The complex lock can be unlock by a key and unlock number. Abstract: A mechanism for snowboard support while riding a chair lift is provided. The support mechanism includes a flexible retractable cable within a housing having a recoil mechanism. The housing is advantageously mounted to the snowboard or the snowboard binding mechanism. The recoil assembly has two main elements, a housing member which stores a retractable cable and a spring assembly that retracts the flexible cable advantageously into the housing member. The recoil assembly allows for adjustment of an elongation length of the retractable flexible cable.

Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus and methodology for providing a resettable manual entry combination and key operated cam lock. Methodologies are provided for enabling changing of the manual entry resettable combination given knowledge of the previous combination and possession of an operable key. In alternative embodiments, provisions are made to prohibit forced opening of the lock by way of the use of foreign objects.

Abstract: A dual-mode padlock can be unlatched by dialing a combination assembly or an associated key. The dual-mode padlock has a latching element movably mounted inside to engage with or disengage from a latch. Turning the dials to a correct combination will unlock a shackle to align a green indication member with an indicator window and remain same when the lock is locked again by turning the dials to an incorrect combination. Inserting a key into a keyhole and clockwise turning a key turning assembly will unlock the shackle wherein a red indication member moves to align with the indicator window. Counterclockwise turning the key will lock the shackle with the color “red” still displayed through the indicator window so as to advise the owner of the lock that the lock has been opened by means of a key.

Inserting a key into the keyhole to clockwise turn the cylinder and the rotatable member will move the sleeve downward by moving the fingers along the groove in one direction, and unlock the lock with the second state surface moved to align with the window for visually informing that the lock has been opened by the key. Alternatively, counterclockwise turning the inserted key will lock the lock and reset the indicator.

Abstract: By providing a magnifying member which is securely affixed to the housing of a combination padlock in cooperating association with the rotating dials thereof, an easily produced, combination padlock is achieved which provides a display zone for the pre-set combination wherein the indicia formed on each of the dials is easily seen and readily visible for any user. By positioning the magnifying member in overlying, aligned relationship with the rotatable dials, the visibility of the indicia formed on each dial is greatly enhanced. When the stop blocks are such positioned as to block the insertion holes, the insertion heads are restricted within the slots to achieve a locking effect. Any of the numeral unlocking unit and the key-unlocking unit can drive any of the stop blocks to unblock any insertion hole so as to release any free end of the lock hook.

The steel cable can run through the lock body to form a closed shackle. The lock body includes a casing, a dial assembly, two pushbuttons, two thrust members and two latch members. Locking and unlocking operations can be accomplished by depressing the pushbuttons. The latch members can engage with the steel cable to form a locking condition, or be moved away from the steel cable to form a unlocking condition so that the shackle range formed by the steel cable and the lock body can be adjusted to meet user's requirements. It overcomes the problem of the conventional padlocks that provide a shackle which is not adjustable and often does not have an adequate length.
