    Abstract: A handlebar hocking device including a pair of tubular members with each having a distal end, a proximal end and a opening therethrough that is capable of receipt therein a handle of a handlebar. A locking assembly has a box-like configuration with a bottom wall and a pair of proximal side walls having a passage therethrough with a chamber therein. The chamber has a first wall with a locking lever attached thereto and an orifice therethrough with a locking cylinder therein. A first rod is positioned within the locking assembly and engages one of the ball joint assemblies of one of the tubular members. A second rod has an external end engaging one of the ball joint assemblies of one of the tubular members and an internal end with ribbed projections for engaging the locking lever of the locking assembly to secure the locking device on to the handlebar so as to prevent use.

The controller also preferably moves an unlocked vehicle door lock to the locked position a first time after receipt of the remote panic signal, such as in the event of an inadvertent pressing of the remote panic switch.

The rod is secured to the housing such that it extends towards the vehicle's dashboard. The rod includes a blocking member secured to its distal end that is positioned in close proximity to the dashboard equipment to prevent its removal. The housing may be adjusted angularly with respect to the clamp while the rod may be adjusted in a telescopic fashion with respect to the housing so that a wide variety of dashboard configurations may be accommodated by the antitheft device. The theft of a car stereo is blocked while rotational operation of the steering wheel is obstructed by the antitheft device extending therefrom.

    Abstract: An anti-theft device for a vehicle includes a casing engaged in a housing, a sleeve extended upward from the housing for receiving a lock, a rod having one end rotatably coupled to the casing and the other end slidably engaged in a tube, a ring element pivotally coupled to the tube, and a shank engaged through the housing and the casing so as to form the anti-theft device. The device has a simplified configuration and has a greatly lowered manufacturing cost.

    Abstract: A multi-purpose automobile lock, having a rod member and a catch structure with a side of one end of the rod member provided with an elongated channel in which are drilled several latching holes and tapped holes. At the other end of the rod member is disposed a hollow channel. The catch structure comprises a U type hook and a locking member, with the U type hook having at its center a tapped hole to lock in on the side of the channel. A pair of trapped holes are also provided on the lock. When both are latched, the channel is placed on the side of the steering wheel to achieve the summary lockup. This invention also permits the removal of the hook in order for the locking member to be screwed to the inner side of the channel. With the hollow channel at the other end of the rod member holding against the hand brake lever, and the hook latched to the shift lever, the device will lock up both the hand brake lever and the shift lever.
