To engage the superlock assembly when the arm of the locking actuator is extended, the motor is powered to move the blocking arm into the path of the retractable arm. In this position, the arm cannot be retracted either through manual force or electric operation of the actuator, thereby preventing a door latch from being unlocked.

    Abstract: A power actuator used in combination with a motor-vehicle door latch movable between a locked and unlocked position has a housing, a reversible electric motor in the housing having a rotatable output shaft defining an axis, and an input gear on the shaft. A threaded output spindle spaced from the shaft in the housing carries an output gear out of mesh and out of engagement with the input gear. A nut is threaded on the spindle. An actuating element couples the nut with the latch to switch it between its positions. A support pivotal in the housing about the axis carries a pair of coupling gears in mesh with and flanking the input gear. The support is rockable about the axis from a central position in which neither of the coupling gears meshes with the output gear into a pair of end positions in each of which a respective one of the coupling gears meshes with the output gear and couples same to the input gear.

A spring braced between the first and second levers urges abutments on them into engagement with each other so that when the abutments are spaced apart the spring is loaded.

    Abstract: An object of this invention is to provide a door unlocking device adapted unlock a door by transmitting a signal in the air through a signal transmitter, which can unlock the door even when the power source of the signal transmitter, namely, the battery has consumed up. With a door unlocking device, upon insertion of an ignition key into the rotor of a key cylinder, a shutter is opened to operate a shutter switch. Under this condition, the rotor is turned in opposite directions from the neutral position according to a predetermined rotor turning pattern. The rotor turning pattern is discriminated by a rotor-turning-pattern discriminating circuit. Ensuring that the rotor turning pattern is the one predetermined for unlocking the door, the rotor-turning-pattern discriminating circuit activates an electric operating mechanism to cause a lock mechanism to unlock the door.

A switch-actuating part is rotationally coupled to the lock cylinder virtually free of play and is rotatable synchronously with the lock cylinder and a control switch which is switchable by the switch-actuating part at a specific rotary angle of the part and directly spatially adjacent thereto. The switch-actuating part is mounted behind the follower in relation to the lock cylinder on a carrier facing the interior of the vehicle and is fixed to the door or flap. A control switch is retained at least indirectly on the same carrier, and at least these two parts are sealed off relative to the door interior.

    Abstract: An electric driven type lock device used to a car trunk lid has a striker, a latch, and a ratchet for preventing the latch from reverse-rotating. When the striker reaches its position confronting a U-shaped groove or notch formed in the latch, a motor makes the pressing link rotate forcibly in a closed-lid direction. An electric-driven-condition relief link is connected to the ratchet. When the motor reversely rotates, the electric-driven-condition relief link makes the ratchet leave from the latch. Further, the lock device has a manual relief lever which to lever the pressing link and the ratchet are connected. When the manual relief lever is operated, the pressing link is left from a rotation track of the latch, as well as the ratchet is left from the latch.
