    Abstract: A safety brace for supporting a radar antenna platform movable to an elevated tilted position by a drive shaft having a movable first member and a second member, wherein the first member is movable toward and away from the second member. The safety brace has an elongated cylindrical tube formed of two separable half tubes. Three spaced apart separable coupling brackets are secured to the half tubes across a seam. When the separable brackets are closed, the half tubes are kept in a closed configuration. Two hinged coupling brackets are secured to the half tubes along the opposite seam. Flanges disposed at each of the ends of the elongated tube are configured to abut against the movable first and second members of the drive shaft. The safety brace has gussets secured between the flanges and adjacent outer surface portions of the half tubes. A safety brace system and a method of operating the safety brace are also disclosed.

    Abstract: A locking arrangement includes a latch assembly, a locking mechanism, and a user operable opening member. The locking mechanism holds the latch assembly in a latching position when the locking mechanism is in a locked condition and allows the latch assembly to move to an unlatching position when the locking mechanism is in an unlocked condition. The opening member is movable from a normal position to an opening position. When the locking mechanism is in the unlocked condition, movement of the opening member to the opening position moves the latch assembly from the latching position to the unlatching position. The opening member is operatively connected to the latch assembly by a compressible member, such that when the locking mechanism is in the locked condition, movement of the opening member to the opening position compresses the compressible member without moving the latch assembly out of the latching position.

    Abstract: The lock comprises a lock bolt, in particular a latch bolt (17), the actuating mechanism of which can be locked by means of a locking mechanism which comprises one series of pushbuttons (25) on each side of the lock. The pushbuttons (25) act on code and blocking tumbler members so that when the correct number combination is put in, one of the two check slides (39) is released. A selector (59) couples the two check slides (39) to the lock bolt actuating mechanism so that, when one of the two check slides is released, the lock bolt (17) can be moved to its unlocking position. The lock can thus be unlocked from either side of the lock and, due to the two locking mechanisms, a different number combination can be set for the two sides. The tumbler members each preferably comprise a first tumbler element, consisting of a base element and a code element screwed onto the base element, and a second tumbler arranged in the check slide and biased by means of a spring against the code element.

    Abstract: A key lock structure arranged in a mechanical key lock device refusing any code pressing while locked, so as to avoid finding out the correct codes by try and error. The key lock structure includes a casing, a sliding base disposed in the casing, an orientation frame arranged on a bottom face of the sliding base and a plurality of code-locked keystroke bodies. The sliding base has a plurality of elongation arms parallel to one another, a plurality of slots arranged with the elongation arms in an alternate manner, and a plurality of stop portions disposed in the respective slots. The orientation frame is disposed under the sliding base. Each of the code-locked keystroke bodies has a sliding member, which has an extrusion portion capable of being blocked by the respective stop portion. Consequently, the code-locked keystroke bodies are fixed and cannot be pressed in the lock status.

These devices can be implemented as micro-scale electromechanical systems that isolate a secure or otherwise controlled device until an access code is entered. This access code is converted into a series of mechanical inputs to the mechanical code comparator, which compares the access code to a pre-input combination, entered previously into the mechanical code comparator by an operator at the system security control point. These devices provide extremely high levels of robust security. Being totally mechanical in operation, an access control system properly based on such devices cannot be circumvented by software attack alone.

    Abstract: A numeral lock with a resettable feature comprises an engaging plate separably engaging a plurality of locking pins. The locking pins each have a first engaging protrusion, which will block the engaging plate from moving for the lock to be locked. When facing in a first direction, such first engaging protrusions have to be separated from the engaging plate by depressing related locking pins for the numeral lock to be unlocked. The locking pins each connects to a respective one of a plurality of shaped holes of a sliding plate. The shape holes each has a circular hole portion and an elongated hole portion. The locking pins can be rotated when passing through the circular hole portions, and cannot be rotated when passing through the elongated hole portions. The sliding plate is moved so that the locking pins pass through either the circular hole portions or the elongated hole portions thereof.

The stored or non-stored condition can be optionally selected in accordance with the button keyword by rotating the screwdriver notch 180°. The key plate can slide over a wide range of rotation angles of an engagement portion for permitting the key plate to slide to decreased wear.

Independent advancing mechanism on the body for the respective retaining cylinders have pulsators which are pushed to so move the retaining cylinders incrementally.

    Abstract: A combination lock has an array of combination elements that are each movable between first and second positions. Each element 25 has to be in a preselected one of the two positions for the lock to open, and the combination is entered by either moving or not moving each element from an intial or reset position. Then a reader 30 adjacent the elements 25 is simultaneously moved against all the elements to test their positions. Any element not in the proper position blocks the reader from movement; but if all the elements are in their preselected positions, they allow the reader to move and the lock to open. Combination elements 25 are preferably arranged concentrically around a spindle 15 having an external knob 16 that can rotate and move the spindle axially. Each of the elements 25 is preferably a slidable plate with an eccentric notch 26 that confronts and overlaps with a radial notch in reader 30.
