Pin Or Rod And Slot Patents (Class 70/308)
  • Patent number: 8347669
Abstract: A securing mechanism cooperating with a device that is to be secured, having a closing part, which can be slipped onto a free end region of the device. Locking elements are rotatably mounted in the closing part and engage into an annular groove of the device by an engaging element to lock it, except in one defined position of rotation. An adjusting member engages in an end region of the locking elements accessible from outside. A spring presses the locking element against a contact area of the closing part in the direction of the axis of rotation thereof forming a brake. A catching structure provided with a plurality of catching points is disposed on an annular surface of the locking elements. A catching element engages into the catching points when the respective locking element is rotated, at least when the closing part is tilted.

  • Patent number: 6575004
Abstract: A combination lock system comprising a set of push-buttons, a set of series of coders each of which series is associated with a push-button, incrementing means for placing the coders of each series successively in a position to be operated by a push-button, coding means for selecting some coders and placing them in a coding position, and means for returning the coders to a waiting configuration after the push-buttons are actuated. The system comprises means for authorizing two actuation strokes of the push-buttons, namely a normal stroke commanding movement of a coder which is part of the code between its coding position and an unlocking position and a coding travel moving a coder from its inactive position to its coding position. For entering a new coded combination, the system further comprises means for placing all the coders in the inactive position and authorizing actuation of the push-buttons over the coding stroke.

Abstract: A pad lock mechanism is described having a body portion and a latch which cooperate to lock and unlock the device. The body portion has at least one body core and a biasing element disposed within the body core for biasing or displacing the latch a predetermined depth therein. The body core includes a locking mechanism and at least two channels for insertably receiving a latch. The lock mechanism is unlocked via a multipurpose key element which is configured to operate via a single handcuff key which alleviates worry associated with trying to find a single key from a ring having numerous keys thereon. The lock mechanism utilizes a simple T-shaped structure which forms a locking arrangement via single and dual recess latch configurations. The lock is made from a durable metal material which is impervious to rust and corrosion.

  • Patent number: 3990283
Abstract: A removable cylinder for a lock has a shell extending along an axis and holding a pin tumbler unit movable along the axis into and out of the shell, being limited in its movement into the shell by a face plate. A key plug having a keyway in it is mounted in the pin tumbler unit so that the key plug can be rotated about the axis in order to actuate the lock. A stop lever is rotatable about the axis between a first position in axial alignment with an end wall of the shell and a second position clear of the end wall of the shell to hold the pin tumbler unit in the shell and to release it from the shell. There is a rod located between the shell and the pin tumbler unit and extending generally parallel to the axis from a tool access passage in the front of the pin tumbler unit and face plate toward the stop lever. The rod is movable by a tool within the access passage.
